My heart breaks for Orlando.

Hey rednecks. Immigration problem? Please! Ask any Native American who's willing to be honest and he'll tell you that it is HE with the immigration problem. To the true natives of this country, we're all ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS who have ruined the beauty of the entire continent. The people now immigrating here at the present will assimilate just as did all of our recent ancestors. Their children will attend our schools, speak our language and marry our children. OOOH, scary thought, uh? Hope I raised your collective blood pressure several points with that piece of reality.

I am hoping that before the prices get too high that I can buy some property out in Mount Dora...I like the area...

I have heard people talk about this, I don't know the old Orlando, just the new one...I live far enough out of Orlando that its not as big of a problem...I still love living here, I have thought about getting some property elsewhere like Fort Myers but for some reason I still want to keep one foot in Orlando.

I have always loved going to Disney, it is fun to get there when there are no crowds...my daughter and I LOVE the waterparks...

I tend to have liberal leanings but my sympathies about immigration is all republican...build fence, round them up, send them home, take their fingerprints at the airport...watever you have to do...An outside group should not be allowed to take our resources and drag down our way of life...

In Florida the school systems are struggling enough without it being burdened by educating peoples children who are here illegally and don't have a right to that kind of assistance...

Do you guys have any idea what it takes to come here legally?? Check the stats, its not keeping people from coming...what a kick in the face to the people who immigrate here legally to have so many coming here illegally and getting rewarded for breaking the law...breaking the law should result in punishment...not gaining the benefit you broke the law for to begin with...

Mexico for example, they encourage their people to come here, then they don't have to deal with their own population themselves, Mexico can remain a sess pool...

Why is it if I were go to the UK and give birth to a child there, if both parents are American, then the child is American...however IF Mexicans can stagger across the boarder in time to give birth here...that child is American...that needs to be changed NOW...I say Mexicans because I don't see Canadians going to that much effort to come here...

In a law office I worked, a girl who recently moved to S Fl had no idea of what MN, IN, NE or ID stood for. I had to let her know they were states in our country. She had a green card and was here temporarily so said she didnt care.

that should be part of the requirement in getting a green card...you should have a brain...why allow someone to work here in THAT kind of job with NO clue...

Yes- it was pretty sad. Some people like to spit on the USA, I guess. I dont really know why they want to live here if they hate it so....

Mine heart does break too for Orlando, but I try to be optimistic to have the problems turned around. Maybe because I lived here all my life and I guess I have hometown pride. So much has happened here, especially in the last ten years with the consequences of sprawling and overpopulation. Im confident that its all going to be sorted out and we can make Orlando a great place to live in again.
