Default Hoping to move to Kissimmee area in December

My fiance and I are hoping to be able to get an apartment in the Kissimmee area. We are from South Ga. He is waiting to hear if he has been accepted into the Disney College program and was told during his inteview that he will be able to appeal the Disney housing and be able to live off site with me.
Even if he doesnt get into the Disney College program we plan on moving to the area.
What are nice/safe apartments in Kissimmee or maybe other areas that are somewhat close to Disney?
Also any pointers as to how I should start looking for full time employment?
I have been looking on Monster and Career builder but I think its going to be hard for me to get full time employment when we are not moving until December.

South Ga to Kissimmee?? Your in for a real eye opener. My pointer is, as many will suggest, don't move here unless you have a state date for a job. Otherwise, we will hear you complain on this forum how florida is terrible and has no employment opportunities. Also, you may want to look in the Clermont, Windermere, and Winter Garden areas.

I do not want to move unless I have a job. I have applied to numerous jobs and I am getting nothing back. Do I need an address for down there before they will take me serious?
I have restaurant experience serving and considered moving and falling back into a restaurant for sometime until I can find stable employment. How hard is it to get a serving job in kissimmee?
We have been to the area many times on vacation and just loved the atmosphere compared to south ga. I dont think it will be that we dont like it there I am just stressing about finding a job!!

You have to realize living somewhere and being on vacation are two very different things. With so many people out of work you have a lot of competition for restaurant jobs, you have laid off workers trying to get server jobs.

People who never thought they would be looking for server jobs are lining up for them.

Your smart not to move without a job lined up.

I do realize that living there will be different than being there on vacation. But I also know that there has to be more opportunity there than there is here in South Ga.
I will be spending a week down there in November hopefully I will be able to have a few interview to go to and I will be checking out apartments.

We moved frm South Florida 1 year and a half ago, the area is great I am Cuban-American so I am not racist and don't mind all the Hispanics around they are very homey and get along great. I do have a problem though there are no jobs I apply to 100's of places weekly, I've become a stalker to the employers and nothing yet .. Also the jobs that are available pay really little about $7-$8 an hour for administrative jobs. It is a great place to live if you already have employment and a home. The house are really cheap and nicer newer ones are available but without a job you can't afford even a cheap house, Good Luck.
