Movie Theatres - For the Family
We live in Southwest Orlando. Where should we go to see a movie? Is the sound and seating better in some theatres? Are some safer?
Thanks.

The AMC in Downtown Disney is probably your best bet. Free parking, tons of screens, very safe, great sound. You can buy tickets online in advance for new releases that will sell out.

This might not be what you're looking for, but for others who are on a budget, I just discovered a little gem in Altamonte Springs called the Picture Show Theater. Movies are $1.25. Yeah, they're second run movies in an older theater, but for 5 bucks a family of 4 can go out to the movies. The food's a bit cheaper as well compared to regular movie theaters.

I agree with recommendations for Downtown Disney.
Pointe Orlando is probably your next best bet.
Universal is a hassle to get to and a little dirtier.
Festival Bay is a nice theater but there is a rougher crowd there overall.

Festival Bay is good, it's usually not very crowded. Tons of parking. Also if you go before 6pm it's usually only $6.50, and then if you catch the first showing of a movie any day it's even less.
