A friend of mine said he did his research and came to the conclusion that Orlando was all ghetto. And no jobs at all. He's an IT...He wants to go to Pensacola and we want to go to Orlando...we are all conflicted. I think Pensacola is too close to Al and MS....and to military for me. So is the statement that Orlando one big ghetto a fair and accurate one?! I have a hard time believing that.

This is NOT accurate or fair statement at all, like most major cities in the United States there are really nice areas (Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Baldwin Park, Winter Park...) and areas that I would not be caught in (Parramore, PARTS near Metrowest), ever. I'm sure if you go and read through this board you will find many threads about this, I know one is the good and bad zipcodes. I grew up inear Orlando and now live in Winter Garden/Windermere (about 20 minutes from downtown) and absolutely love it. Also, there are few jobs here, or anywhere else in the US for that matter. Maybe your definition of ghetto is different is mine, but this is not a fair statement to make about Central Florida.......

The money areas try to stay exclusive, thats why it seems like Orlando is one big ghetto. You are just traffic, stay in the high traffic areas, while the money areas say quiet.

What are you talking about? I am not the one who said that about the jobs....it was a friend as I stated and who said anything about being poor? Did you not comprehend what I stated? I happen to come from Norfolk Virginia so I know ghetto when I see it and I didn't see it in Orlando.

You certainly worded your post in a very inflamatory manner.

What? Inflamatory. You are joking right? How is that inflamatory?! I am the one who WANTS to go to Orlando. My friend is the one who called it a ghetto....I wanted some people's opinions who live or have lived there. How is that inflamatory?
