Default Rentals in Lake Mary, Longwood, plus?

I will be moving to Lake Mary area with my wife and two daughters, 5 & 7 years old. We will be renting initially for a year or two before purchasing a home.

Is there any easy way to see what addresses are currently zoned for which schools? I would like to keep my girls in the same school if/when we purchase a home, so it would be good to see what home purchase areas I would be limiting myself when we choose our rental.

I included Longwood because it sounds like some areas may funnel into the Lake Mary High School.

This is a great posting site. I have read a bunch so far!

Thanks!

You can't go by zip codes. It just depends where you live. What type of place are you looking for? How much would you like to spend. I can give you some ideas then. You can go to the Seminole County Schools and type in the address to see if it's in the LM School district.

There are a couple of sites you can check, try Seminole Counties Public School site, they base it on a street address. Are you getting viewing Rentals from a source that gives you this information?

Lake Mary and Winter Springs are great areas to start.

Thank you for your responses!

We would end up purchasing in the $400,000 range, but want to rent first in case we move again. I saw online two bigger rental communities, Sun Lake and Legends like both look very nice. We would like a family friendly, pet friendly community. My wife will probably not be working, so it would be nice for us to meet other families.

I will type in those addresses on the Seminole County Public School site - that will tell me what schools they would go to; will there be some shaded map that shows all of the areas that are then zoned for that school - so I can see what neighborhoods we would be looking at to purchase at a later date?

Also, is their a supply of house rentals in the area? That would be a nice option if there are some available.
