Hi,
My husband and I are moving to Orlando this June. We are a couple of college students who'll live basically from student loans, work, and try to qualify for Food Stamps. Do you think we can afford a healthcare plan? I know the government offers like some type of medicaid, since I am from Puerto Rico I have something similar here, but it is just horrible. Do you know if it is like that in Orlando?
Thanks!

I am sorry to hear that you are going to some hard times and can totally relate. process is pretty painless now (it was a pain in the butt a few years ago) - you can apply online at www.myflorida.com/accessflorida Then they will send you an appointment letter with a list of all the documents you need to bring in. You have to be making almost nothing to qualify for medicaid and have to make no money to get cash assistance. Good luck and godspeed!
