The rent is much cheaper and the demands for tons of extra money upfront for a room is a lot less the norm in Daytona. I know the season doesn't start until January there but the same can be said of other area's. Worse case scenario I will have to commute to Orlando for work but at least with Daytona there is a peak hiring session while it seems orlando's hiring is mostly flat. I figure I can at least get a minimum wage holiday season job while I look for work. I hear in mid-december a lot of students go on break and that would be my chance to enter the service industry and set myself up for spring break and all the events there.

I do want to thank everyone who has helped me in this extensive search. I would probably be happier in a place like Orlando or Tampa but I am extremely hesitant to move to these places without a job since the living is more expensive. Once I am in Daytona I can always relocate within Florida if I find a job elsewhere.

Good luck man...you are still within driving distance to go out in Orlando, and you have the beach there which is always a plus.

Thanks for all your help man, you've been great. A part of me is sad because it is not Orlando but with the unstable nature of the economy i think at least short term this is the better option for me right now. I will be actively networking and hopefully can meet some people in Orlando to go out with!! Relocation to Orlando may happen at some point too.

I don't get why you can't be outside of Orlando. There are month to month rentals and you don't need alot of $ down. For example, I know of one bedroom condos in Lake Mary that are in the $500-$600 range. It depends what you want, but if you'd like to me pass the info on, I'd gladly do it. Good luck in whatever you do.
