Not really. Considering the size of Charlotte, that actually showcases the lack of diversity in Charlotte's economy. NC unemployment rates are terrible and among the only states worse than Florida right now. The Triangle area, however, is much more diversified than the rest of the state and doing well.

FL's economy is much more diverse. Fl's unemployment is, what, 11.5% last I heard? NC's is 10.7 I believe.

Unemployment rates:
NC
Wake County: 8.3%
Durham: 7.9%
Johnston: 9.6%
Charlotte: 8.3%

FL:
Orange: 11.7%
Seminole: 10.9%
Osceola: 13.3%

ok, i can see why your love of NC comes from. Of all the native Floridians that I know (quite a handful actually) all but 1 of them hate living here and wished they lived somewhere else in the south. One wants to move to North Georgia, another to Colorado, and most to North Carolina

I have 1 friend who was born and raised in Miami he has lived in Orlando now since 1989 and loves it here

Some folks, especially new residents from places like NY, Philly and NJ seem to like FL a lot. And that's fine, I just appreciate other things. Warm weather and NY style pizza is not one of them that I hold dear to me, LOL.

Oh man I can never get enough of NY style pizza

So many New Yorkers and other northeasterners like myself complain that you cant get a good slice of pizza in this city.

I respectfully disagree. They obviously have not been to NYPD Pizza on Universal Blvd, Ginos in downtown Orlando, Slice of NY Pizza in Hunters Creek on John Young, or Subs Plus Pizza on Central FL Pkwy in Williamsburg near I-drive. Awesome pizza

Hopefully when I move to Vegas I will have some NY style pizza places waiting for me

Lets jsut agree to disagree Com, we're better off lol

I think we agree on a lot of things actually, at least today, lol. I've never heard you complain about not getting NY style pizza in FL, but I have seen it over and over and over again on other FL sub-forums. I should go to NYC and complain that they dont have that sweet NC-style BBQ. How would that go over there?

It wouldn't go over well in NYC, but its such a big place that $50 bucks says you'll find some good bbq somewhere in the city. But I do know a great place in New Milford, CT you would like that has some great bbq called the Cookhouse. Incredible BBQ for a northern state

You're right we do seem to agree on a lot of things (drivers is one example) don't take this offensively but a lot of Orlando's cons seem to bother you a lot more then they bother me

Thats just what I've noticed in your posts

Hey guys, wasn't ignoring anyone, we got to our timeshare yesterday and just got internet service this morning.

Thanks for everyone's offer of help I'm not sure what day we are going touring. Maybe Saturday morning before we leave. I'll be sure to ask questions if I think of any.

Thanks again!
