From the time you had your first interview at the Casting Center until you began work, how long of a time period was it?

(I'm asking for a friend who has an interview for a very much needed job later this week.)

6 months but that was a year ago. They did call and offer a food job which I declined and waited for what I had put in for. Hope this helps. Keep in mind it was very slow and little hiring taken place @ that time. That was also for only Part-time, full time may be a different scenerio.

Not a recent hire, but my son worked there as seasonal(weekends) when he was in college at UCF, then part time, then eventually got full time.He was hired as a life guard which has a little better starting pay than a regular cast member because of the certifications needed. There was a training period and then he was out in the park. They have had a hiring freeze and right now their hours have been cut because of the one water park being closed. Spring break is coming so they may be hiring for that.

What job did he/she interview for?

He actually applied last fall, and was kind of surprised when they e-mailed and asked him to set up an interview time and date late last week. I'm not sure exactly what he is interviewing for, I know he's willing to do just about anything, he just wants a job.

I know they have had a hiring freeze, although they are going into their busy season, so maybe looking to hire seasonals?

I know if you get hired at a restaurant thats on Disney property but not owned by Disney (Fultons Crab House, Rain Forrest cafe, etc) its a pretty quick turnaround..the issue with anything Disney related, is that you gotta chalk up 2 weeks to training.
