With the housing market meltdown raising in temperature on a daily basis and the China market meltdown starting. I'm looking for short-term housing in the Heathrow area, while I wait to purchase a home.

I would like to find furnished a month-by-month apartment with washer and dryer in the unit, and all utilities included. My trips will be for a one month stay every other month.

Anyone know of such accommadations?

Would it be just for you or your entire family? If it is just you then I would look into the extended stay hotels in the Lake Mary area. Like Extended America or Homestead suites. Or look on Craigslist.com for a privately owned apartment/condo/home that will do a month to month for you. Good luck!

One thing to consider with short term housing if you do not sign a lease for more than 180 days you will considered a short term rental and be subject to taxes on the rent. Currently in Osceola County the resort tax is 13% (I am not sure of the tax rate in Seminole county or the local county taxes). You will most likely find this with any of the extended stay hotels and property management companies. Your best bet would be to try and find a private owner but expect to pay more for a month to month lease than a year lease if you can find it.

Just for me on business trips.

I don't think Extended Stay has washer/dryer in the unit.

I'll check craigslist.

Thanks for the information.

I did some checking and it appears 13% includes sales tax.

Still, good information to know.

There are many short term rentals available that can provide one month one, one off. Fort he most part they will be on the South Side there are a few places elsewhere but I don't know of short term rentals being an option in Heathrow.

Heathrow is a great place to buy, just not rent on the short side...
