Its not a widening project. Its a re surfacing project. If you live in the area then you would see the construction going on, I live in the area too, I saw it the other day.

I've seen the construction, and I figured it wasn't widening. Thanks for the link.

Dean Road was widened in the late 80s or early 90s, or thats what somebody told me

When I lived in East Orlando from 1997-1999 I remember Dean being 4 lanes then, I doubt it will be widened to 6

Orange County as well as the city of Orlando need to resurface a LOT of roads, especially Sand Lake Road between John Young and OBT, those potholes are torture for my cars struts

I think we can all agree (or at least those who have driven on it) that Sand Lake rd is hell and ridiculously disgusting for such a busy road,
i've seen roads in the same condition if not worse in other smaller side streets, but this is a highly congested road, the county has waited way to long and let this raod crumble to the state its in right now

Its only that stretch of Sand Lake. The rest of it is perfectly fine IMO

There are other very congested stretches of Sand Lake Rd (The other bad on being between International Drive and Turkey Lake Road) but the road is not in bad shape.

I dont understand why just the 2 mile section between OBT and John Young is so bad

Also that is a STATE road. Sand Lake is designated as state road 482, it is the state's problem, not the county's

I had no idea roads were in such bad condition if other parts of Orlando. I have never been on sand lake besides by I-drive. But most roads I travel on in my area and outside of my area are usually smooth and dark. I hate roads in bad condition, like east colonial over by the fashion square mall.

that pavement as old as it is, is still good to drive on by fashion sq

down here in hunters creek along john young parkway, they resurfaced patches of the road, and those patches are visible as they are still dark and the patches of new road are between the orange-osceola line and whisper lakes boulevard

Orange Blossom Trail was widened and resurfaced several years ago from Taft-Vineland Rd to Osceola Parkway. Area looks a lot nice and newer now, this part of OBT doesnt live up to the seedy reputation the rest of the road has

Lake Underhill, between Chickasaw Trail and Goldenrod is being widened. However, this project is taking SO LONG! I don't know how the ambulances can make it into Florida Hospital East because the traffic has been so backed up everyday for almost a year! Why is it taking them SO long to do ONE block?!? It's a nightmare!
