I currently live in Ocala, and plan to move to Orlando this summer. I have been looking at a few areas and was hoping to get some input from residents, since I have never been to some of the areas. Miriada on Dixie Belle Drive is my first choice, based on what I've seen online, but it is in an area I'm not really familiar with, which is near the corner of Semoran and Curry Ford Road. The others are Villa Valencia, Regent Park, Waterford Landing, and The Crest at Waterford Lakes. The specific condos I'm looking at are all about the same price, except for Waterford Landing, which is significantly cheaper than the others. Mainly what I would like to know is what the neighborhoods are like and if there are any crime problems. Thanks in advance and I appreciate any information you can give.

I would stay away from Semoran...............and Curry Ford Rd, so the two together aren't the best. What are you going to be doing here? Going to school, working?

I'm going to be going to school at UCF. And I know Semoran isn't great in some areas, but I wasn't really sure about Curry Ford.

That's not all that close to UCF when you consider the traffic you'll hit if you need to drive during rush hour. I'm pretty sure Dixie Belle runs close to Semoran/Curry Ford too and neither are very nice areas.

Curry Ford is nice closer to Alafaya Trail. The area around Valencia isn't bad. I lived around Waterford Lakes for years and it's families and college students for the most part.

Yeah. That place is not so hot and it is a drive (with tolls) to UCF.
