[quote=paradiddle;13015771]I think annerk and I have this discussion on community before. Her area may be like that but I do find that most of Florida is more transient and has less community that I knew back home I completely agree. I was born in FL but lived in Asheville NC for a while too. I know how transient FL is and it's one of the things I dislike about it. That being said I realize that when we moved here we moved away from family and friends. You have to start all over again. I have volunteered at local stuff and have met people that way.

We have Florida passes and go to Disneyworld all the time. We never get to the beach even though it's only a 1 1/2 hr. drive to the gulf, our favorite side. Lots to do in Orlando.

Have to add. if we go to the beach three or four times a year, that's about all we need.
