Hi everyone!

We are moving to New Smyrna in a couple of weeks from Texas. We have already found a home there, but was just wondering if anyone who lives there could give me any info on fun things to do in town, interesting things about New Smyrna, etc....We have 3 children between the ages of 5 and 11. Thanks!

New Smyrna is a pretty quiet place. They have miniature golf and of course the beach. You can fish and crab there. What type of things do you like to do? Daytona and Orlando have more action.

You will have to go to Daytona Beach or the other surrounding areas to do most of the things. For kids there's the YMCA that has activities. There's great beaches, a marine science ceneter, boat tours to see dolphin and manatees, a lighthouse, and the area has the usual things for kids to do like gymnastics, dancing and sports. What area of NSB are you moving to? Venetian Bay is beautiful, but the town does have some shabby parts.

You'd probably get more responses if this wasn't in the Orlando section. NSB is not that close to Orlando, like a hour a way. If I were you I'd put it in the main forum. I live in Port Orange, next to NSB and usually don't come into the Orlando forum.
