Yeah, it's just awful. Sad for the family and really bad PR for Disney. The last accident was a bus hitting a PARKED bus that had emergency lights flashing.

I don't know what happened in this case, but last week, was at Downtown Disney and some kid ran across the one-way street. Thankfully, the cars saw her and stopped.

FHP's official report stated that the Mear's bus was improperly parked on the roadway, although the ultimate responsibility in avoiding the accident fell on the Disney driver who was ticketed. Bottom line when it comes to the lawsuits, Mears will have contributory negligence.

As much as I dislike Disney, as well as Mears, it seems to be just one black eye after another for the both of em.

God be with the dead child's family

Looks like they were riding bikes and had helmets on. Victim was riding on sidewalk but went off and hit middle of bus and got caught under. Family's from St. Petersburg.

I lost my first born in a accident when he was 3 and I can tell you first hand its going to take a long time for them to recover.I always hate hearing about these things because it brings up old stuff for me.

As bad as I feel for the family, can you imagine the trauma the poor bus driver will go through? My neighbor hit and killed someone on a bicycle over 30 years ago--completely the fault of the bicyclist, and the neighbor has never really gotten over it.
