Question Opinions/Advice on these please?

We will be moving to the area at the beginning of October. We can pretty much live anywhere the central Florida area as my husband will be a district manager for his company and that will be his area.

We are in our early 30s with no children. We are looking at renting an apartment for the first while and hope to spend between $800-$900 a month on rent.

Here are a few places we have selected from our research on the internet and we will be going down to the area in the next few weeks to look at places but don't don't to waste our time on areas that are not recommended.

So please let us know where we should actually look and those we should knock off the list. Thank you VERY much for your help!

You might look at the web site for apartmentratings.com and see what they say about the apartments you are considering. Hope this helps. People put in reviews and comments about apatments. Needless to say, most folks only write something when they are unhappy but it may help you make a decision.

My wife and I fit your demographic perfectly. We're in Heritage on Millenia over by the Millenia Mall. Short drive to everything, and it's ok.

I don't know many of these but the ones in Hunter's Creek are all nice especially the cottages. I would worry about crime in the Millenia area especially if it is on Oakridge. Good luck!

Sun Lake is OK. It's a bit older but they are painting the outside and putting new screen porches up. Lake Mary schools which are rated the best in the area.
Pebble Creek is better. It's a bit newer. Lake Mary schools once again. Both places hold parties on holidays and have pools and a jacuzzi. I have friends that live in both and they don't have any complaints. You can have pets there also. Colonial Grand has now converted over to condos. It is now called Regency Park in Lake Mary. It is very nice there. If I could rent there, that would be my top spot. Other condos that you may want to check out are Hidden Village. All these places are in Lake Mary and are very convenient to all the stores, malls, YMCA, etc. It is safe her also. I have 2 children who go to schools in Lake Mary. The only thing is that for younger children, you may be zoned for the Sanford Cluster. It is OK because those schools are in the very nice area of Sanford. My kids attended Wilson Elementary and I was very pleased with it. If you have anymore questions about the area, let me know.

OK, we will look into Hunters Creek, and the two in Lake Mary.

Where else should we look when in town? We want to have several to choose from and hope to have our rent under $900 per month.

Is it possible to turn this into a poll? So, that we can just see the results without having to read all the chatter if we so desire.

Scratch Sun Key of your list unless you are a hard partying college kid.Auvers Village is similiar. You have listings from all over metro Orlando so it may help to narrow your search.I used to live in the Tuskawilla area which is nice.Good Luck

Definetely cross Knightsbridge at Stoneybrook off your list. Overpriced and the management team seems to just disappear on occasion for weeks at a time.
To be completely honest, the entire complex is riddled with racoons, possums, snakes and gators too. I've lived near Tuskawilla and Red Bug most my life, it's a really nice area. Good luck!
