We are going to be living in Florida for a year and I'm trying to figure out where we want to live.

For the first 6 months of our stay, my husband will be interning w/ a chiropractor in St. Cloud. Then, in March, he'll move to a clinic in Celebration. Hoping to only have to move once during our time there and Kissimmee seems like a good central location between the two.

After browsing around on this forum it seems that the bad sections of town are pretty patchy. Is that true? Would anyone have suggestions sections of Kissimmee to focus my search on -- and areas to avoid?

Looking for a 3BR, max. $1300/month -- is that reasonable for this area?

Thanks for any help you can give.

That is a reasonable price. Look in these zip codes: 34746, 34747 and 34744. Specifically, Pleasant Hill Road, Neptune Road (although there is construction right now), Remington, anything in Celebration. Avoid BVL, downtown Kissimmee area and parts of Poinciana. I would put the Mill Run area somewhere in between. I would look at the classifieds on Osceolanewsgazette.com, Craigslists.com or OrlandoSentinel.com I am a born and Raised "Kow Towner" - pm if you have any questions. Good Luck and don't let the negative posters bring you down - there definitely are some nice places left in Kissimmee.
