It is a bit of conspicuous consumption. The home is scheduled for completion in 2011. Apparently there are some changes in the Siegel families as a relative also justed their 5500 ft home in Lake Nona. it's only a few million so pocket change by comparison..
Siegel is the man that made his fortune with time shares... you know tell the poor tourist they can save a fortune if they spend $25,000 for a week stay at a place and don't discuss the impact of the monthly fees. Then 5 years down the road when they default you resell it... He is brilliant at his formula and this home is certainly one that shows it has worked. He also has a lovely 21,000 ft home just down the road from Shaq.
The man has Champagne taste, and a budget to match. In a note of fairness he has also spent millions on many charities and has lended a hand to his own employees in need.
He is a master of the game and I give him his credit.
They don't have many pictures posted just yet but here are a few.... as one said so eloquently...WOW! The doors in picture 4 are reported to cost $4,000,000. If your home doesnt have its own baseball diamond... here is your chance. Hmmm maybe perfect for Brad and Angelina and their ever expanding horde.

So I heard a story that there was actually another home planned that was supposed to be even bigger than this one. But from what I hear it wasn't a contest with this home. A very rich resident divorced from his wife. She got the home in Windermere. He vowed that he would build a new home across the lake from her so big that it would block out the sun at her home. Maybe it's just an urban legend but I heard the home never got past permitting.

I don't see that home ever selling for that much. Unless someone could get permits to operate it as a luxury inn, it's never going to sell.
