I've been looking and looking on the internet and I simply can't figure out what type of palm this is. What's throwing me off is the orientation of the leaves. Instead of being a typical palm leaf that we all know, the blades seem to sprout individually from the trunk.

I think it's either a Mojave Yucca or a Torrey Yucca, members of the Lily family and not palms at all.
