Antique stores are not going to buy your antiques. You need to either rent space from an antique store or rennigers to sell it yourself. Some stores will just be rent, some will be rent and cut of sale to cover employee fees and overhead. Alternatively you can sell it on EBAY.

Antique dealers need to cut a profit and aren't going to buy something for face value they typically buy from garage sales when the person doesn't really know what they have.

If you know what type of china you have I could probably give you more specific information about price point and where you would probably sell it fastest. If you don't know what type it is look on the bottom and just describe the marking.

Try this place: Replacements, Ltd.

To be honest your china is probably not worth as much as you think it might be.

My dealer had never even heard of it but looking it up and it doesn't sound that valuable without knowing the exact set you have. Maybe $4 a piece.

Question I'm looking to sell too.

I too have some China and don't know where to start. I do know it is of some value. It's Haviland Limoges, France - the Schleiger 347 pattern with yellow roses. I also trying to figure out how to sell my wedding china - unused and unopened Lenox Federal 5pc place settings - 5 of them. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I have a service for 12 of Sone Spring Wheat China made in Japan from WWI, with all the cups and saucers, plates, bowla, platter, suggar bowl, dessert plates, salad/cereal bowls, salt & pepper shakers, etc. Plus more. I'd like to sell ir. But really don't know what's worth, it belonged ro my grandparent's. My grandfather was in WWI and got it over in Japan. It's in mint condition, and I've had it for at least 13 years, after my grandfather died and have never used it. I'm single and it just takes up a lot of space in my china cabinet. Does anybody know what it's worth or who may want to buy it? Thank you!

I would suggest some consignment stores or Ebay. those will likely yield the highest return.

I just did your research for you.

I used a software that allows me to check anything that sold online including ebay and other sites for the last year and this is what I came with.

A large platter sold recently for 13.00

Many cup and saucers sold for 5.00 for a set.

2 salad plates sold for 5.00.

Fine China from Japan does not bring much money unless it is very early stuff and mint.

People wont buy it on ebay because of the weight of 16 pieces would cost too much for shipping.

I would say take it to a local dealer to see what they offer, but I do not personally believe you will get more then 2-3 bucks a piece for 16 pieces.
