Default Universal and Disney

Where do I find the best pricing on Universal or Disney tickets? I imagine the tickets are most expensive at the gates? Can anyone recommend a ticket service that discounts these tickets? TIA

On Universals website you can purchase tickets online for $85.99 for 2 park unlimited admission for 7 consecutive days.

That is a great deal because the tickets are pretty pricey at the gate for 1 day.

Disney doesn't really have great deals. The more days on a ticket you buy the cheaper it is. But its still not cheap!

No, we live in the Carolinas. We plan on visiting Orlando in the coming weeks and needed to find out whether or not to just buy the tickets at the gate or pre-buy them.
Thanks!

Disney doesn't discount their tickets very much, you might get a deal once in a while, if you are only planning a single trip, you generally have to pay full price. If you plan on coming more than once a year, then buying an annual pass is generally cheaper than individual days tickets.

You can buy tickets on ebay or various websites, which always scared me, how do you know the ticket is good? Some of these are Disney cast members selling their "Not for Sale" passes they receive every year.

Once you are in Orlando, you will see thousands of places offering cheap tickets. They generally fall into 2 categories; 1) Timeshares - you do the 3-4 hour chicken dance, they give you tickets or discounted tickets. 2) Resellers, they buy used parts of 3-5 day passes and then sell them at a discount. Not sure how much you save, whether there are any strings, etc.

Good Luck

I have heard of this thing where you can buy the unused portion of a Disney ticket and I can tell you Disney has the right to NOT honor that ticket...only the person who purchased the ticket has the right to use it...how do they know? I'm not sure, they do have hand scanners at each place you enter but I can't imagine how sophisticated their system would have to be to keep track of the hand scan associated with that particular ticket.

I have heard of people being scammed and I would hate for that too happen to a family coming here for vacation.

I think one of the things that is a good deal if you don't want to buy a pass are the tickets that are good for several days, if your only going to be here for a couple days, you can still purchase the 7 day ticket for instance because the ticket doesn't expire for a year so if your planning on coming back, you can use the other days then. Come back in December, its a beautiful thing to celebrate Christmas at Disney.
