Even Edmunds.com's professional writers who do their "First Drive" articles called the 500L "less sexy" than the coupe. But gave it good reviews on fun to drive, etc.

This thread isn't about the 500L, it's about the 500 wagon

Why would you even bother comparing a two-door coupe (with highly questionable reliability) and a four-door family mover? Do you not get that your definition of cool and good-looking is not universal?

Your repeated allusions to pumpkins make me believe there's some deep-seated childhood trauma. But it sounds silly.

No, we didn't. Your opinion that FIAT "screwed up" is just that - an opinion. You're presenting it as fact.

With that in mind, could you see yourself actually driving one of these?

...that doesn't exist. Seriously, you're going to tell the OP what to post about and what not to post about? Though I don't agree with his viewpoint, that's a bit rich.

The beauty of opinion forums is that they allow for debates, if you don't like my opinions on the matter, it's very easy to close your eyes and stop reading.

I didn't think I see the day when the City Data Auto forum had a thread about Fiat that extended to page six.

They must be doing something right.

Cars.com customer reviews has Fiat 500L as a 4.7 out of 5. Everyone raves about how fun the car is to drive. My question is, image doesn't seem to matter with the owners of this vehicle, they love it for it's "fun to drive" characteristics. Has this car become more about function and less about image?

I agree with a number of their choices of ugly cars, especially the one at number one, the BMW 5 Series GT.

Has it ruined their image?

I don't think so, and neither has this four door 500 ruined Fiat's, especially as it doesn't even exist!
