Yo, dogs!! this is perhaps a bit different than the thread, maybe not...there is a word in the English language that begins with F. Every TV show, every movie seems to think that it makes a "cool" impression if their characters pepper every sentence with it. It's a very grating, overused word, in my not-so-humble opinion. What I've also noticed, when a series begins, especially on cable, the word isn't used. Once the series starts getting good reviews and starts another year, the characters start to use more off color language. Many of these movies/shows have plot lines and acting that would be great without the use of that overused and highly rated (?) word.

Sometimes their clothes become a lot more upscale and probably a lot more expensive. Personally, many of these movies/shows would be great without the use of that word.
ITA. When "Deadwood" was on I counted over 50 f-bombs within a 5 minute scene.

Jessiegee...I completely agree with you. It's similar to the F word. What has happened to more genteel words?

Blutime... do I ever agree on this word!!! Don't some of these words originate with the "valley girls"? Uh-oh! did I use another phrase that may be on everyone's list?

I don't like when people say the word, "golly." It just sounds too, "goody two shoes."
