Don't know how your weather has been this week but it's been super hot and humid here. Heat index over 100 degrees every day. And where are we? CAMPING! lol we had this trip planned for a while since this was the only week my daughter-in-law could get vacation time. We're surviving but slipped home last night to cool off and do some laundry. We're camping in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, about 30 miles from the house.

Today's Question(s):

Is there a product(s) you like so much you could star in a commercial about it (them) ? The state of Kentucky. I have always wanted to do some type of commercial about everything there is to see and do in Kentucky.

Bonus Question:

When was the last time you wanted to yell "run/hide !! here comes Linda!" ?
My wife's cousin actually came by the house once. She talks up a storm and talks so loud I'm surprised the windows aren't rattling.

Have you ever pretended not to be home when someone rang your doorbell ? Yup

Extra Credit Question:

Lets talk about typing

Do you use:
Touch typing ? I touch type most of the time. When I'm typing something I'm copying out of a book or something I find myself looking at the keys. When I'm typing something I'm thinking, like this, I don't look at the keys.
Have to look at the keys ?
All your fingers ? Yup
Just a few ?

Did you learn to type:
In school ? Yup
Self--taught ?
On a real typewriter ? Yup
A computer ?

Just for fun:

Have you ever "Yo- Yo'd" ? Long time ago
Can you do any of the fancy Yo-Yo tricks ?Nope

Today's Question(s):

Is there a product(s) you like so much you could star in a commercial about it (them) ? Yes. Puffs tissues (not the ones with the lotion - just the original) and Viva paper towels.

When was the last time you wanted to yell "run/hide !! here comes _______" ? Right now. The sky is pitch black, and we are having another severe thunerstorm. It's been almost a daily occurrence here for weeks. Lots of tree damage and adventurous drives to and from work. It's getting really old. And I'm getting tired of the sound of chain saws. I AM very thankful, though, that my house is still intact. Could be a lot worse than just inconvenience!

Have you ever pretended not to be home when someone rang your doorbell ? Nope. I even answer the door when the Jehovah's Witnesses come around.

Lets talk about typing
Do you use:
Touch typing ? Yes. I type very fast. Learned how to type in high school, so I could type my papers in college. At job interviews in my 20s, I tested at over 100 wmp on a MANUAL typewriter, with carriage returns and all! Must admit, though, that I'm not always good about proof reading my own stuff. I know I post some bloopers on C-D sometimes!
Have to look at the keys ?
All your fingers ?
Just a few ?

Did you learn to type:
In school ? High school.
Self--taught ?
On a real typewriter ?
A computer ?

Just for fun:

Have you ever "Yo- Yo'd" ? Yes. Quite a bit when I was a kid.
Can you do any of the fancy Yo-Yo tricks ? When I as a kid, yes.

Word of the Day:
rococo \roh-kuh-KOH\ , adjective;
1. Ornate or florid in speech, writing, or general style.
2. Pertaining to a style of painting developed simultaneously with the rococo in architecture and decoration There are some rococo houses in some of the old neighborhoods in my town.

Today is:
National Pecan Sandy Day If you've gotta have a packaged cookie, this is a good one!
Typewriter Day Home keys: a s d f j k l ;
National Pink Day I'm wearing beige today.
Let It Go Day Wish I was better at this....
Yo-Yo Day Would be fun to try it again.
Public Service Day I do a lot of volunteer work. Love it!

Hey all. I'm just about ready for a nap. -_-

Today's Question(s):

Is there a product(s) you like so much you could star in a commercial about it (them) ?
I'd never ever wanna be in a commercial, I don't like all that attention that'd be focused on you if anyone knows what I mean. But anyway, I can't think of anything I love that much that I'd do a commercial for it.

Bonus Question:

When was the last time you wanted to yell "run/hide !! here comes _______" ?
Any of my teachers outside of school, that's just awkward. It hasn't happened in a long while, but it's all I can think of right now.

Have you ever pretended not to be home when someone rang your doorbell ?
Alot I guess, but it's more like, I want them to know I'm home so they know I'm ignoring them. Either cause it's someone I don't wanna see, or to be safe so like a potential troublemaker doesn't think the house is empty or something.

Extra Credit Question:

Lets talk about typing

Do you use:
Touch typing ?
What?
Have to look at the keys ? I thought I did, but I recently realized I memorized it all somehow without ever really learning any of our formal lessons at school.
All your fingers ? No way.
Just a few ? Just three, the two pointers for all my typing and usually my right thumb for the space bar, and I'm pretty fast too.

Did you learn to type:
In school ?
They tried, but I started late cause of all my moving around and ending up in schools that were ahead of me.
Self--taught ? Pretty much, I got really fast with my two pointer typing over time.
On a real typewriter ? I've never even seen a real typewriter, well, not one I was allowed to touch.
A computer ? Yup.

Just for fun:

Have you ever "Yo- Yo'd" ?
I had one or two yo yo's when I was lil, but never learned to actually use em.
Can you do any of the fancy Yo-Yo tricks ? Nope, but I almost got hit more than once by other people doing em.

I'll let you show me that blue grass.

Years ago, I traveled to Kentucky to visit family, and I call my Dad, back home in NC, to tell him I am most disappointed . . . just where is this blue grass? I had seen barns painted black, and that, for me, was different, but I hadn't seen any blue grass.

Ever the jokester, and me, ever the dumb bunny, falls for his line, "You'll need to get up early, early in the morning, just as the sun peeps over the horizon. Then you'll notice a blue hue to the grass."

I figured it had to be either my eyes, or I wasn't getting up early enough.
