Curious Minds Question:

For those that mow their own lawn

Do you:
Mow first then edge & weed-whack ?
or
Edge & weed-whack then mow ?

Mow, then whack usually. I don't always whack since I don't have much to cut and no one notices it - really, honest!

Watermelon: Seedless or seeds ? Yes
Wine: Red or white ? Yes
Beer: Bottled or canned ? Bottled
.........Import or domestic ? Yes

Babble

The rain has stopped. The flooding has begun. Here we go again... I predict that a business will be leaving the area. In 2008 they told the city that if they didn't fix the levee by their business and they flooded again they were taking their business and moving out of state. Considering the amount of work done on the levee I'm waving goodbye. They've been here almost 100 years.

There is a place in Homestead, FL that carries 100 varieties of bananas. Nice place to spend a week. This from the Tip of The Day.

Company is gone and we are recovering. I am exhausted. On the plus side I am so close to being fully retired that I have one thing on my calendar this week. So far. We have food for the next week. Mrs. Tek allows no one to go hungry at our table. Man is she a good cook!

Everyone have a great day!!

What was the last "really stupid" question someone asked you ? The querulous "meow" from one of the cats at 4 a.m. while I was on my way to the bathroom, translated to mean "Are you awake? Do you want to play? Can I have some breakfast?" NO!!!!!!

What was the last thing that made you say Wow, I did not know this ?
Maggi07's revelation upthread about the mango pitter. Way cool.

Extra Credit Question:I am/was the first person in my family to become a Cleveland Browns fan. Buncha ridiculous Steeler fans I'm related to ...

For those that mow their own lawn
Do you:
Mow first then edge & weed-whack ?
or
Edge & weed-whack then mow ?

A raging debate at our house. I'd rather edge first then mow; the spouse wants to do it the other way around. If he does the lawn while I'm at work, he wins.

Just for Fun:
Watermelon: Seedless or seeds ? Seedless.
Wine: Red or white ? Either, depends on my mood etc.
Beer: Bottled or canned ? Bottled. Tap is best.
.........Import or domestic ? Both.
Chocolate: Milk or Dark ? Dark.

Now I have a yen for some watermelon dipped in dark chocolate, and some red wine.

I had to jump off the laptop earlier, and didn't get to comment on these, and why I had highlighted them.

Tomato deemed nonpoisonous. How was that determined, and who took his life into his own hands to prove it?

Growing up, I must've asked Santa for a Raggedy Ann doll for every Christmas until I turned 18, and then, I gave up. Same for my birthday. I never got one because my Mother deemed Raggedy Ann 'ugly.' One year, my sorority sponsored a get-what-you-always-wanted holiday-themed party, and each of us put on little slips of paper, our secret Santa wish. Mine was for a Raggedy Ann doll, or a box of 64 Crayola crayons -- never got the box of 64 because my mother said there wasn't anything you could color with 64 crayons that you couldn't color with a box of 24 or maybe, 48. That year, I had to be 21, and I got both from secret Santa.

1976, first woman in the AF Academy. Virginia Slims, the cigarette, had an ad campaign, You've come a long way, Baby. I have a very good friend who was one of the first women to reach the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, too. Thank goodness, because her husband was a Chief Master sergeant, and that would have never sat well with either of them.

I've had a lot of those!...LOL. Off the top of my head I remember my ex sister in law asked me one time if I had a college degree in my field of expertise, even though she knew that I was a professional in that field. I wanted to say, "No, I just read a few books about it"...LOL.

Aren't people encouraged to ask questions by a saying like this? The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

Hey all. Guess who just woke up like two hours ago. The sleep princess is awake, the day can begin.

Today's Question(s):

What was the last "really stupid" question someone asked you ?
My grandma's friend who's known me for kind of a while now had her daughter's graduation a few days ago. I had to go of course, but anyway, I was talking about my graduation with her and complaining about college and then later we're talking about it again and she goes, "wait, you're in college?" I guess she had a blond moment or something, cause she was serious even though she knew I was. Well that was stupid, but it wasn't as insulting as when people ask me, "wait, you don't go to community college?" Why do people assume that... everyone says how smart I am, then they're surprised I went to a 4 year school. Are they calling me stupid or poor? I mean I am kinda poor, but still.

Bonus Question:
Haven't asked this on in awhile, so it is time

What was the last thing that made you say

Wow, I did not know this ?
It's been awhile, I can't really think of anything. Maybe I'm just that smart?

Extra Credit Question:

I am/was the first person in my family to _________ ?
I woulda been the first to go to college in this country, but my mom stole that from me. I'm the first one who's ambidextrous in the immediate family as far as I know. I'm the first one to have learned Latin. I'm sure there's other stuff but It's not coming to mind right now.

Curious Minds Question:

For those that mow their own lawn

Do you:
Mow first then edge & weed-whack ?
or
Edge & weed-whack then mow ?
I don't think I'll ever mow the lawn again. It's been at least 6 years. When I had to when I was younger I just mowed, no weed-whacking, and I'm not really even sure what edging is.
