Babble

Wednesday I mentioned the heat index here (we are back home today). The heat index got up to 117 degrees!!! Holy cow!

Feels good being home.

We have decided it's time to buy a lifetime update for our Garmin. Considering the cost per year vs the lifetime it's a no-brainer. We decided because it tried to drive us into cornfields on the way down and back while driving the All Saints highway in SE Iowa. Methinks our last update is really old.... The alternative theory is that all the meditation at the Maharishi University messes with the GPS.

It was a beautiful day for a drive. Sunny, not too hot, and not very windy. We were surprised at the number of vineyards we saw. For some of them it was obvious that the farmer had replaced corn or beans with grape vines. Perhaps our third largest crop is becoming grapes.

Everyone have a great day!

Today's Question(s):
Other than the normal car or truck I would really like to try driving a
team of horses ?

Bonus Question:
It is a pretty safe bet you will never find me at a
spa?

Just Because Question:

I am sure a lot of folks wouldn't understand how I could get excited about something as simple as a computer, a book, a camera, trees? I frequently say things like: look at that tree! When they are in bloom or in fall foliage or just being tall and part of nature. I'm a fan of trees.

Extra Credit Question:
In Honor of National Hot Dog Night When was the last time you had a Hot Dog ? What do you like to find on your Hot Dog ?
I'm proud to report it's been a while. But when I do have a hot dog, mustard is a must. Maybe relish. Dill or sweet. One of the few times I'll eat sweet pickles is relish on a hot dog.

Do you prefer your hot dog to be:
All Beef, please.
Grilled, microwaved or corn dog.

Just for Fun:
When was the last time your Tchotchkes got dusted ?
I don't think that's a question you should be asking...oh, I see. Never mind. Uh, I don't know.
Who did the dusting ?
Not me.

Today is:
National Corn Fritters Day is that like a hush puppy?
Fresh Spinach Day okay
National Hot Dog Night
Rembrandt Day I'd like to find one at a garage sale some day.
Parking Meters Day if you insist
National Dust the Tchotchkes Day probably a good idea. reduces allergies.
