To make scratches on wood less apparent, dab with a mixture of instant coffee and water.

To clean grime out of a teapot, boil vinegar and water in the pot, then wipe away build up.

To keep the black cover of your grill shiny black, spray vegetable oil on it while the lid is warm.

To clean silk flowers you can either take them outside and use a hairdryer to blow the dust off, or you can place the stems in large bag with uncooked rice and salt. Shake the bag around for a while making sure the rice and salt cover each flower.

Hmmm...good tips Glory!! I don't like silk flowers, but I do have a small rose arrangement from my Mom and was thinking about getting canned air!

Great tips, Glory. Grandkids and pets mean we have way too many scratches around here, so I'll have to try some of those ideas.

I wonder what else I can use that rice for after I'm done with the flowers. Seems to me I've heard that rice has all kinds of uses.

But milk makes the coffee too pale, and the sugar attracts ants.
