Today’s Question(s):

Fill ‘er up! When you pull up to the pump, do you fill up with:
First off....I should admit that I have only filled the car perhaps 5 or 6 times in the last 6 years....in my marriage that is "his job"... But I do know what he purchases.
"Regular gas
None of the above,
thats my DP's job.
Bonus Question:

When you go to work or school each day (or for our retirees, when you were in the workforce), do/did you:

Go home for lunch?
Pack a lunch from home
Eat at the school/office cafeteria?
Graze from the vending machines?
Go out to lunch at a restaurant?
Go hungry
Never!

Extra Credit Question:

Do you have a sewing machine? No but I wish I did and sometimes think of purchasing one and taking lessons.

Just for Fun:

Have you ever seen a major league baseball game in person? Yes, I am not a baseball fan...but I think I have gone to a major league game three times in my life....and on one of those times there was a bit of a story.

I am the father of three boys.....we lived in NH....and I realized that part of the job of being a dad to three boys is to take them to the ball park. Two of my boys liked the Red Socks and the eldest liked the Yankees. So I got tickets to a Red Socks/Yankees game and with an invited friend ..... I took them out to the ball game.

First off I had no idea how unpopular my son wearning a Yankees hat and shirt and cheering for the Yankees.... in Fenway would make us....but we stuck together and were fine. I really get bored with baseball......but felt like I was being a good dad.....and the kids were having a good time.....so I was enduring the 9 innings and waiting to drive back home.....but....9 innings turned into 10, 11, .....I don't know how many extra innings till someone won.....I no longer remember who won.....THEN WHEN I SAID.....OK....LETS GET GOING.....the boys informed me this was a "double header".......we sat thru perhaps 6 more innings of the second game.....it was getting late and we still had to drive to central NH.....I managed to convince the kids.....it was time to go home. and a friend .

What teams played?
See above

Do you remember who won? No

1851 – Isaac Singer is granted a patent for his sewing machine
1856 – Anthony Fass patents the accordion And a one and a two and a three...take it away boys.
1898 – The flag of the Republic of Hawaii is lowered from Iolani Palace and is replaced with the American flag to signify the transfer of sovereignty to the United States. Not our proudest moment.

Go home for lunch? Once in a blue moon
Pack a lunch from home? Sometimes
Eat at the school/office cafeteria? Don't have one
Graze from the vending machines? Very rarely
Go out to lunch at a restaurant? Usually takeout
Go hungry? When really busy (a lot of the time)
Where I work we very seldom get to leave for a meal. Meals are taken when we can get them...usually either brought from home or takeout...and usually something that doesn't matter if it gets cold or not. Meals are eaten at our work stations...

Extra Credit Question:

Do you have a sewing machine? Yes

Do you use your sewing machine for:
Sewing your own or a family member’s clothes? Used to
Mending clothes?
Quilting?
Embroidering?

We’re destined for another scorcher in south-central Wisconsin today: the forecast calls for a high of 90, with heat indexes in the upper 90s to mid 100s.

THI in the mid 100s 150F. Brass monkeys could melt.

Today’s Question(s):

Fill ‘er up! When you pull up to the pump, do you fill up with:

Regular gas?
Both my cars and I have regulas gas.
Mid-grade gas?
Premium gas?
Diesel?
Other (biofuel, propane, recycled cooking oil)?
None of the above, I walk/bicycle/bus everywhere?

Bonus Question:

Most of my work years were spent on the road so I've been in a lot of restaurants. In fact I had a boss that thought I could tell what I did, on any given day, by where I ate lunch.
Go hungry?

Extra Credit Question:

Do you have a sewing machine?
YES

Do you use your sewing machine for:
Sewing your own or a family member’s clothes?
Mending clothes?
Quilting?
Embroidering?
Costuming?
A contemporary art sculpture and dust-collector?
I actually used it to make a fire resistant Christmas ornament for use in Nancy's nursing home. I decided if I made them for sale I would need to get about $6000 each, to cover my time, I only made one. It is now a dust collector.

Just for Fun:

Have you ever seen a major league baseball game in person?
Yes

Cubs and Mets

Do you remember who won?
Mets

Just for Fun:

Woo hoo! It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring! It's cooling down, and the air's so clean. I love summer rain when it's like this.

Today’s Question(s):

Fill ‘er up! When you pull up to the pump, do you fill up with:

Regular gas? This one

None of the above, I walk/bicycle/bus everywhere? But, whenever possible, this one!

Bonus Question:

When you go to work or school each day (or for our retirees, when you were in the workforce), do/did you:

Go home for lunch?
Pack a lunch from home?

I'm picky about knowing all the ingredients in what I eat, so I usually bring my own lunch. Sometimes we all go out to eat, though.

Go hungry?

Never! As Miz Scarlet sez in Gone With The Wind "As God is my witness, I'll never go hungry again!!!!"

Extra Credit Question:

Do you have a sewing machine?

Nope. I don't even how to use one. Using a sewing machine is becoming a lost art, like horse shoeing.

Just for Fun:

Have you ever seen a major league baseball game in person?

What teams played?

I've seen several Dodgers games and a few of the Nats and Orioles games. Who won? The only thing I recall is Abraham Lincoln won when the presidential mascots raced at half time.

Fill ‘er up! When you pull up to the pump, do you fill up with:
Regular.

When you go to work or school each day (or for our retirees, when you were in the workforce), do/did you:
I pack a lunch. My office is in an industrial ghetto, and there's nowhere around here to go out. Saves considerable $$, so I guess it's a good thing.

Extra Credit Question:
Do you have a sewing machine?

I think so ...

Do you use your sewing machine for:
Well, it can't collect dust because I keep it in its box in a closet. I use it mostly for mending, but when so inspired I can make a mean set of kitchen curtains.

Have you ever seen a major league baseball game in person?
Absolutely
What teams played?
Last one I saw ... Cincinnati at Philadelphia.
Do you remember who won?

Happy Thursday, everyone!

What teams played? KC Royals and ??? (1981 in KC) Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati (around 2001, in Chi-town)
Do you remember who won? Royals; Cincinnati (no surprise there!)

I've been to a bunch of minor league games in Gary, IN - home of the Railcats. Gary has a beautiful stadium and the atmosphere is very family-friendly. Games are a blast! I've got tix for another one on Aug 29th. We're playing Joliet, IL. I like minor league games more than major league games.

I'd like to go camping near a tarn sometime.

Daughter’s Day Don't have one.

Baseball Fans Day Baseball on TV is as exciting as watching paint dry.
Truck Driver Day ok
