Today's Question(s):

Other than CD, what is your computer mostly used for?

This year, it's getting a lot of use staying in contact with the other committee members who are working on the convention, as well as work relating to the convention. I also use it for work that I can do from home, although my employer is giving me a work laptop that I can bring home which will make that particular activity a lot easier.

Bonus Question:

When was the last time you made a reservation?

I think it was probably on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.

What was it for?

I made our hotel reservations for next year's convention; the hotel usually fills up close to a year before the event, so I make our reservations the moment the block opens.

Extra Credit Question:

I could use a little more
napping and a lot less stress.

Just for Fun:

When was the last time your picture was taken?

That's not fun, Karla; I hate having my photo taken. And I have no idea when it was last done, because I avoid looking at the results.

Who was the last person that left a message on your:
Answering machine?
Daughter left a message on the answering machine on Saturday morning.
Cell phone? No clue - I have been reliably informed that we have voicemail on the cell phone, but neither one of us knows how to retrieve it. I'm trying to get the cell phone service to just disable it completely, or, if they won't do that, show us how to change the greeting to something like "You have reached 555-1212. Don't bother leaving a message, we won't ever get it."
Facebook Page? Haven't got one of those, don't want one either.

For those that text, who was the last person that "texted" you? Our daughter has figured out how to text my email address, and she does that regularly as a way of staying in touch.

The Bank Loan

A man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to Italy on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the man hands over the keys to a new Ferrari.
The car is parked on the street in front of the bank. The man produces the title and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.
The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the man for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.
An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.
Two weeks later, the man returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled.
While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?"
The man replies: "Where else in New York City can I park my Ferrari for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?"
