It's annoying to lose your money in any machine and no one around to give it back. I remember once shaking a machine to get my candy bar unstuck and 3 more fell out.

You've done a great job EM, thank you!

Elizamary, that is an outstanding peeve and u r certainly going out on top as far as I am concerned. And if I might add my appreciation to u for contributing so well to the quality of this forum; also my respect and gratitude for u stepping in for Lacey. I am sure to leaving things in very good hands with SCG. Now all that being said I hate machines that take my money and don't deliver what I paid for. The injustice rubs me the wrong way especially if there is no person who can understand... or help in the situation immediately! I am so glad u brought this up. I didn't realize how upset I was over it, but now I feel better. Good job Elizamary

SCG is a heck of a nice guy and very creative. I'm sure we will all love the peeves he presents to us starting sunday.
I for one plan to support him and give him a warm welcome as I am sure the rest of you will too.
Lacey did a great job....and she enjoyed it too. I'm just glad I was able to help her out.

Around here we have oil rigs and the guys who work them bring their work clothes to the laundromat. Thankfully, they only use the giant double loaders.

I have been known to shake a vending machine if it eats my money. I get my snicker bar one way or another!

I think some idiot died from having a coke machine fall on him.

Coin machines are generally "thieving" devices.

Default peeve of the day...August 20th

My peeve of the day...washing machine & dryer too

Try putting money on a laundry card, like $40.00 for 2 weeks, going to use it the 2nd or 3rd time and the washer or dryer flashes BAD CARD, BAD CARD, over and over . I feel like taking my scissors and cutting the card into little itty bitty pieces .

Thanks for filling in on Peeve of the Day !

Funny story about soft drink vending machines many years ago while I was in the service. In our barracks there was a soft drink machine that would drop a cup, then pure out the coke or Dr. Pepper drink fluid to fill the cup. The costs was only 10 cents back then for the drink. However it would also make change if you dropped a quarter into the slot. You’d get the drink cup filled and you’d hear the change drop into the slot below. One day the machine broke and it gave me the drink, plus the 15 cents change and also the quarter back. What a deal, a drink + 15 cents + the quarter each time I used it.

Well this was too good of a deal to pass on because normally the machine would fail to drop a cup and the fluid would just go to waste down the drain and you lost your money. So this time, I milked that machine until it had nothing left for change to give me back. I had soft drink cups sitting all over the place telling others to help themselves to whatever they wanted.

It was the last time that machine failed while I was around. lol
