On a related note, a few states below "Nova" stands for Northern Virginia. As more and more people move here it's starting to get common usage, but there are still plenty of people from out of state who look surprised when they ask me where I live and I say "Nova."

(ps. If you're moving to Nova, be careful about calling the area the DMV. It's short for Delaware-Maryland-Virginia but not everyone likes that nickname. Sort of like moving to San Francisco and calling it "Frisco.")

I didn't know. I thought they were just the names of the areas.
Hey, I could have fun with this concept.
I live in WOMP. West Of the Mickey Park.

(I actually live East of the parks, but it wasn't as much fun to say.)
