BEDFORD, Va. (AP) - A driver has been convicted of animal cruelty and fined $100 after Virginia authorities found a goat stuffed in the trunk of her car.
Bedford County sheriff's deputies discovered the goat bound and in the trunk during a drunken driving checkpoint in June.
I had a guy tell me about his days when he worked at a bus station and they put a tag on a goat's horn and sent it....as long as you could get a tag on it you could send it.
I checked on Bedford VA temps, it was 87F on 8/20. The story said the goat was for his 4 passengers. I'm thinking if he had 5 people in the car and his A/C didn't work the trunk was cooler.
Fiona Ann Enderby of Washington, D.C., told police she bought the goat from a farmer to give to four passengers in her car, who are from Kenya but reside in Lynchburg in central Virginia.
Looks to me like she was trying to do something nice.
It is a FARM animal.
Since when did a goat need AC to survive? They pant when they are hot....just like other animals.
