BEDFORD, Va. (AP) - A driver has been convicted of animal cruelty and fined $100 after Virginia authorities found a goat stuffed in the trunk of her car.

Bedford County sheriff's deputies discovered the goat bound and in the trunk during a drunken driving checkpoint in June.

I had a guy tell me about his days when he worked at a bus station and they put a tag on a goat's horn and sent it....as long as you could get a tag on it you could send it.

I checked on Bedford VA temps, it was 87F on 8/20. The story said the goat was for his 4 passengers. I'm thinking if he had 5 people in the car and his A/C didn't work the trunk was cooler.

Looks to me like she was trying to do something nice.
It is a FARM animal.
Since when did a goat need AC to survive? They pant when they are hot....just like other animals.
