If you hadn't chosen your current occupation...
I'm an environmental scientist specializing in meteorology with an interest in energy load forecasting...
...if I hadn't chosen this, I probably would've went into law.
What about you? If you didn't do what you do now, what would you be doing?

I'm an Executive Assistant right now, but I majored in Public Relations. However, my true love is meteorology, specifically severe weather, tornadoes and such. I always thought it was too much math and science involved. I also love to teach Literature, specifically English Literature.

I am a Quality Management Systems Analyst and technical writer. I went into this field because the opportunity arose. I am a writer and a poet and if I had gone with my passion I would be a song writer.

I am an ERP Systems consultant and I got here because of a technical interest in how things work. If I weren't doing this, I would want to be a docent, preferably in a setting where young scantily clad patrons prevail.
I like talking to people about things and exchanging knowledge on any topic I can become versed. My interest are wide and I can become "expert" enough on almost any given topic sufficient to interface with most people. I am sure there are many I am not going to be great at, but I can work my way through well enough to at least be considered knowledgeable to all but the most obsessed.

johnrex62 - consulting is a good field. Hard work, but pays well. I do some of that in my field, and hopefully there'll be more opportunities. If things don't work out for me in the next couple years, I'd seriously consider becoming a lawyer (possibly in environmental law). But somehow I doubt it.

I'm an IT systems engineer, with many areas of specialties and programming languages.
I originally wanted to be an airline pilot because I love airplanes. I also took flying lessons in the late 1980's. The only thing that kept me from pursuing such a career was diabetes.
I also do have simulator experience on many jetliners, including the Airbus A319, A320, and all of the Boeing generations of jetliners from the 707 to the 777 (I love the 767-300) Before I was diagnosed with diabetes right after I turned 15, I always dreamt my office would be the flight deck of a 747!

Well, I am a meatcutter/ butcher, and got kind of "sucked" into doing it.
I am a HUGE fan of forensic science, and would have gone to college for that!

I am a Professional OTR Truck Driver. If I could do a "Do-Over", I'd have been a cop. Spent my life arresting all the dumb A** drivers, rather than dodging them on a daily basis!!
