Mine was chosen partly because I had to try several times to find one that wasn't taken. Otherwise it pretty much describes me, living in a place a lot of people consider paradise, being optimistic, always dreaming of the future (or as some would attest, over analyzing my options). Wish it was shorter though.
When selecting a Cd nom de plume I can't say I was very clever. I just looked down at my shirt and copied the monogram on my sleeve.
And what does GLS stand for anyway? Girls Love SOBs?

However, for others such as "Sierra", I am not sure if she means she lives in the desert and is just close to the mountains, or if she just has lovely mountains.
I've been more creative on forums I planned to hang out on, but this wasn't the case here initially. I was having a house built at the time and just wanted to be able to talk about RE on my local forum. Tried to come up with something I could remember and since the constant turmoil of construction problems certainly couldn't be forgotten, I chose part of the name of my subdivision. I like mountains OK and I live by mountains, but I grew up by a sea and I'm a beach bum by heart.
It ended up sounding serious and strong, just like my real name. Had I planned to spend time on this forum, something like 2HOT4YOU would've been a whole lot more appealing, dontcha think? Just kiddin'. It wouldn't reflect my personality and intentions.
Some people here change their monikers almost as often as their underwear. As if that's gonna change their personalities, writing styles, or the way they're perceived.

Thank goodness her area code wasn't 420! Could've raised a lot of questions!
I recently shared this with Morphous. Braunwyn is the name of a woman that an ex of mine cheated on me with. This left me with a poor association to the name, so I took as my own to change that. And it worked.
I'm with you. I'm continuously getting DMs from people wanting to know what my handle means but, national security and all that ... can't be too careful these days.
You and wigirl920 have just been added to the "no fly" list. You are dangerously close to being water-boarded.

I'm confused... You have a male icon under your name...
I didn't want to use my real name so I picked SophiaLee instead. My real name is Tiffany. Original, huh? LOL.
