Actually, it was suggested to me by a fellow CD member. I originally had a different screen name, but it was too personal and telling of one, so I wanted it changed. Someone suggested this one because they thought that I looked like a young version of the actress who played in the TV show, which is my name.

in 2001 I was trying to come up with a user name for a Red Sox forum I was interested in joining and all of the user names I could think of were taken, so I thought about my favorite cartoon when I was kid "the Ant and the aardvark" and it comes from that.

So everything I have joined since 2001, I use aardvarks and I've never run into a problem with the user name already in use.

I have thought about switching it a time or two, to maybe something a bit more descriptive, maybe I will one day.

My name is the song that the Grateful Dead play usually before Terrapin Station...it's significance is pretty much spelled out in the lyrics...

My favorite Dead song. Some may argue it, but that's what it was all about, imo.

Alright, yellfire was close in the assumption. My name has nothing to do with liking the movie and it isn't that I see myself as some alpha male badass king of the jungle kind.

There use to be a cafeteria that I would go to for Cuban coffee that was run by a latin family. Whenever I walked in they would go "lionking!" because of my long hair so I use the name now.

Thank you, lionking. Finally, I can rest.

Now, knowing none of us ever would have guessed it, was the point to see how creative (or unimaginative) we would be in our responses? I'm not dissing you, I'm just curious.
