I'm really territorial and protective about mt father's flag from his grave and his possessions from when he was in the military.

The only grouch I know is me when I first get up in the morning.
No trick or treaters here so I have all the candy to myself.

So before I head back to my "trying to figure out Quick books" project

Anything I can help with?

it is time for a much more enjoyable project

Today's Question(s):

What things are you extra territorial and/or protective about ?

My yard. "Get off my damn lawn you young whipper snapper! After spending years with footballs, basketballs, baseballs, Frisbees, clothes and assorted trash tossed over the fence I have zero tolerance for for it and the neighbors are now very careful. Mrs. Tek says I'm pretty scary when I'm mad, and I've gone off on a couple of them. Apparently word has spread.

Extra Credit Question:

In honor of "National Grouch Day"

Who is the grouchiest person you have recently had contact with ? It's been so long I can't tell you.

What is the last thing that got you all "grouchy" ?

Stupid Post Office. They say they delivered a package to me. They didn't. I don't know whose mailbox they put it in, but it wasn't mine. I received mail that day so there was a delivery to my mailbox. Somebody called about it yesterday, finally, it was "not" delivered October 2nd. Real speedy response, that. I don't expect any resolution to it. I doubt they'll figure out what they did with it and I really doubt they'll reimburse me for the monetary loss. This will be the last time I have anything other than a letter sent through the US Post Office.

Bonus Question:

In honor of "Get Smart about Credit Day"

When was the last time you checked your credit report ? A couple of years ago.

Do you know your credit score ? No, and I 'm not worried about it. I guarantee you it's excellent.

Just for Fun:

Halloween is only 2 weeks away so I have to ask

How many of our QOTD family has bought their "Trick or Treat" candy " Not yet. We waited because we weren't sure what condition the street, sidewalks and parking would be in because of the storm sewer project. It looks like everything will be done the week after next. The last thing done will be laying sod. Next week they will pour the ends of the driveways on our side, then the sods show up.

How many have not only bought their candy, but oops couldn't resist "sampling" some and have to go buy more ?

Bloggle:

Well the windows are here and they have no stain on them. Mrs. Tek and I both expected them to have been stained by Pella. We'll have to see what the guy says about getting it done. Somehow I doubt he'll do as good a job as Pella would so we may have another delay as we send them back to Pella for staining. If we can... In addition they aren't starting on them until Monday, or later if they go back to Pella for the stain. This guy is doing great work, but this delay is ticking me off. We have three rooms rearranged so they can put them in and now they will be a mess for the entire weekend, or longer

It will be nice to have the street back to normal. Hopefully they will keep the "emergency no parking" signs up long enough to run a street sweeper a couple of times. It's quite a mess out there. Not as bad as when they build houses. Contractors around here don't bother to clean up their messes when they put up houses, etc. They are real pigs in that regard.

Mrs Tek is looking for something different to cover the windows upstairs. What we have now is not a good solution. We need room darkening shades because of the east sun in the offices, and she likes a very dark room for sleeping.
South windows in the master means lots of light coming in.
Prices are, uh, staggering.

So we wait longer to get our house back in order. Even with the delays I'm happy. This man does good work and he points out things I miss that should be taken care of. His pricing is reasonable as well, and according to his references he walks on water.

Everyone have a great weekend!!

I left that to my sister again this year. She bought fruit snacks instead of candy.

Haha, not this time.
