Good evening/morning everyone
Happy Wednesday

lol no your not seeing things.

Tomorrow morning is going to be a busy one. It is school Wednesday and I will be teaching since the woman I volunteer with is out of town. So I have some work to do on my lesson plan.
Tomorrows class is one of my favorites we are doing "hamburger plants" lol I know your thinking "karla has shaken her brain while spinning"
The Hamburger Plant shows the kids how everything they eat has a connection in some way to plants. Then they get to draw their own "hamburger plant" pictures

lol who wants to come to class with me !!!

But first a really really early start to tomorrows

Today's Question(s):
Yesterday we talked about new foods so it made me wonder

If you go to someones home for dinner and they serve something you don't like or never had before do you:

Try a small bit ?
Take some and push it around the plate ?
Claim "I had a late lunch I will just have coffee" ?
I don't go unless I know what they are making ?
I bring my own food ?

Extra Credit Question:

Ok have at it !!

What is your "Whine about one thing" whine ?

*** Well other than politics ***

Bonus Question:

Do you have a Macy's in your town ?

Just Curious Question:

Because Halloween is on Sunday this year,is anyone's town having the kids go out Saturday instead ?

Does your town have set times for Trick or Treating ?

Just for Fun:

Caramel Apples
or
Candied Apples ?

Today in History:
1775 - U.S. Navy forms
1858 - RH Macy and Co opens 1st store, (6th Ave-NYC)
1925 - Fred Waller received a patent from the U.S. Patent Office. Mr. Waller invented water skis.
1964 - Singers Sonny and Cher wed, Cher wore bell-bottoms
1969 - Ralph Nader sets up a consumer organization known as Nader's Raiders
1975 - Covers of both Time and Newsweek picture rock singer Bruce Springsteen - Baby we were born to run !!!

Word of the Day:
punctilious \puhnk-TIL-ee-uhs\ , adjective:
1. Strictly attentive to the details of form in action or conduct; precise; exact in the smallest particulars.

Today is:
National Potato Day
Turn Off the Violence Day
Peace, Friendship, and Goodwill Day

lol no your not seeing things. Now if I was seeing things, that would just a little creepy.

Today's Question(s):

Try a small bit ?

I bring my own food ?

Actually I usually just eat it. I'm pretty good at convincing people that whatever I'm eating is delicious even if I'm gagging on the inside. Lol. But that aside, I like 99% of what I eat so that's very rarely an issue for me.

Extra Credit Question:

Ok have at it !!

What is your "Whine about one thing" whine ?

Don't assume I can't do the job!

Bonus Question:

Do you have a Macy's in your town ?

I think so.

Just Curious Question:

Because Halloween is on Sunday this year,is anyone's town having the kids go out Saturday instead ?

No idea.

Does your town have set times for Trick or Treating ?

No idea.

Just for Fun:

Caramel Apples
or
Candied Apples ?

Caramel.

Word of the Day:
punctilious \puhnk-TIL-ee-uhs\ , adjective:

Nice word. I might use this in a story sometime.

Turn Off the Violence Day Amen and
Peace, Friendship, and Goodwill Day amen!

Extra Credit Question:

Ok have at it !!

What is your "Whine about one thing" whine ? Why do the tractor trailers come down our street when there are signs posted "NO TRUCKS OVER 4 TONS"! I was parked in front of my house today and the trucker almost crashed into my car trying to make a turn so I ran out of the house and got between my car and the truck screaming at him to STOP so I could move my car.

*** Well other than politics ***

Bonus Question:

Do you have a Macy's in your town ? NO, but there's one about 15 minutes away.

Just Curious Question:

Because Halloween is on Sunday this year,is anyone's town having the kids go out Saturday instead ? I don't think so.

Does your town have set times for Trick or Treating ? I really don't know

Yesterday we talked about new foods so it made me wonder

If you go to someones home for dinner and they serve something you don't like or never had before do you:

Try a small bit ?

I will try a small bit

Take some and push it around the plate ?
I have been known to do this.

Claim "I had a late lunch I will just have coffee" ?
I don't go unless I know what they are making ?
I bring my own food ?

Extra Credit Question:

Ok have at it !!

What is your "Whine about one thing" whine ?

*** Well other than politics ***
People that try to lay a guilt trip on me when I do not do something for them when it is not my job to do it. They usually end up getting a rather sarcastic response from me

Bonus Question:

Do you have a Macy's in your town ?
Not that I am aware of

Just Curious Question:

Because Halloween is on Sunday this year,is anyone's town having the kids go out Saturday instead ?
If the kids in my neighborhood thought they could get away with trick or treating on Saturday and again on Sunday, they would go for it

Does your town have set times for Trick or Treating ?
From early on until no one answers their door anymore.

Just for Fun:

Caramel Apples
or
Candied Apples ?

I will pass on both. Not a fan of apples

Today is:
Cranky Co-Workers Day
I wonder if I could get the day off in observence of this day.

Today's Question(s):
Yesterday we talked about new foods so it made me wonder

If you go to someones home for dinner and they serve something you don't like or never had before do you:

Try a small bit? Just to be nice, then if it's tasty I'll expand on it.
Take some and push it around the plate?
Claim "I had a late lunch I will just have coffee"?
I don't go unless I know what they are making? Most time we know in advance what's cooking.
I bring my own food ?

Extra Credit Question:

Ok have at it !!

What is your "Whine about one thing" whine? Lousy TV shows these days.
*** Well other than politics ***

Bonus Question:

Do you have a Macy's in your town? Yes we do.

Just Curious Question:

Because Halloween is on Sunday this year,is anyone's town having the kids go out Saturday instead ? No kids in our retirement community, so no Halloweeners.

Does your town have set times for Trick or Treating ? n/a

Just for Fun:

Caramel Apples
or
Candied Apples ?
Neither one. I like my apples au naturel.

Thanx KWAK for early posting.

I'll eat what they serve to me. If it's served family style, I'll just take a tiny bit of whichever item I don't like. Luckily, I'm not a picky eater.

When someone makes me something and I dont like it, I will (and have) simply told them I just ate and am not hungry.
I dont need to whine, enough of it going on around here 24/7.
Dont know if we have a Macy's and dont care, I dont shop places like that anyway.
I'll be working and dont know what everyone else will be doing with the grandkids, I do know they dont do Halloween either.
Carmel apples any day! Dang, now I want one.
