So lets see who is going to be first to answer: Had to cheat, but I got pole

Today's Question(s):

What was your best "and the crowd went wild" (or they would of if they had seen it) moment ? Once when a foreigner who lives here was totally going off on one of the locals without any cause whatsoever - I, shall we say, got in his face about not treating people that way, etc. I might be little, but I have my daddy's voice and when I'm PO'd, look out. The crowd didn't go wild, but I did make a lot of friends that day. Just POs me to see people treat others like that, especially just to act like they're all superior or something.

Extra Credit Question:
The following inspired by a suggestion from our own Elston

Is it stuffing or dressing ? I actually say both, but usually stuffing - when saying the 'phrase' it's always turkey and dressing.

Do you make it the same as your mother did or use your own recipe ? Haven't made it in a long time, but when I did was pretty much the same as moms. Sometimes I would throw in extras if the mood struck me.

Do you add any of the following:
Dry Bread ? (think it was pepperidge farm in the bag)
Crackers ?
Corn Bread ?
Mashed Potato ? that's on the side, with gravy
Mushrooms? sometimes
Oysters?
Chestnuts?
Other ? Onion & some celery

Bonus Question:

Oops !Has anyone ever left the "little bag 0' stuff" inside by mistake and cooked the turkey that way? LOL no, but - I'm just dying here LMAO - I remember DS and I pulling it out the wrong end and I just couldn't figure out why it didn't come out easily - that's when DS started LOL and said "mom, we're pulling it out the wrong place" Then I threw it away 'cause I hate that crap. My psuedo threw a fit, because he was going to fry it up for our dog Sasha - just told him to get it out of the trash, because it was still in the bag and she was a dog so not like she'd know

Speaking of the little "bag 0' stuff" inside:
Do you use the turkey gizzard, liver, heart, neck that you find inside the "little bag 0' stuff" ? NO - and growing up while the rest of the family was fighting over them, I would be chowing down on the GOOD stuff.

Just for Fun:

What is your favorite:
Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine ? DR. PEPPER
Pop Tart Flavor ? I've just never been a huge fan, but when I had to usually strawberry
Cereal topper ? I don't normally eat cereal, but when I do some sliced nanner is yummy.
Toast topper ? butter, butter with more butter - I also like strawberry preserves (not jelly)

Today in History:
1863 - U.S. President Abraham Lincoln delivered his "Gettysburg Address"
1895 - Frederick E. Blaisdell patents the penciland i'm sure it was a #2
1928 - After five years of publication, "TIME" magazine presented a cover portrait for the first time. Japanese Emperor Hirohito was the magazine’s first cover subject.
1954 - Two automatic toll collectors were placed in service on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey. The nation’s first automatic toll collector accepted only correct change. One needed a quarter to activate the green light.
1965 - Kellogg's Pop Tarts pastries created if I'm starving, but . . .

Word of the Day:
chimerical \ ky-MER-ih-kuhl; -MIR-; kih- \ , adjective;
1. Merely imaginary; produced by or as if by a wildly fanciful imagination; fantastic; improbable or unrealistic.
2.
Given to or indulging in unrealistic fantasies or fantastic schemes.

I was chimerical that the 2 or 3 people who need to get me info so I could do my end of the work would actually do it they have until the end of the day then em - it's the weekend and that's part of my de-stressing program.

Today is:
Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine Day
World Toilet Day
Play Monopoly Day Might play some on my computer while I'm waiting
Use Less Stuff Day
Pop Tart Day

Today's Question(s):

What was your best "and the crowd went wild" (or they would of if they had seen it) moment ?

We're a military family. The best scenes are always when troops come home and are reunited with their families. That moment when you first see them--that's the ultimate moment of a crowd going wild.

Extra Credit Question:
The following inspired by a suggestion from our own Elston

Is it stuffing or dressing ?

It's stuffing. Dressing is done before Thanksgiving dinner and it involves putting on loose pants so I can eat plenty of stuffing.

Do you make it the same as your mother did or use your own recipe ?

I use my own recipe.

Just for Fun:

What is your favorite:
Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine ?

The only carbonated beverage I'm allowed is ginger ale.

Pop Tart Flavor ?

I haven't had a pop tart in at least 40 years.

Cereal topper ? Cinnamon, bananas, cran raisins.

Toast topper ?

Country crock and cinnamon. Not cinnamon sugar, just straight cinnamon.

Today's Question(s):

What was your best "and the crowd went wild" (or they would of if they had seen it) moment ?
Probably the time I slid backwards thru the red light while driving a fuel truck. The light was turning red so I "lightly" (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) stepped on the brakes. Everything locked up and the truck spun around. I slid thru the intersection without touching a single thing. However I was not off scott free. After I got my heart rate back under 400 beats a minute, I turned off the road to go fuel some equipment. Then next thing I knew I was up to the axles in mud. Took me a couple hours to get unstuck.

Extra Credit Question:
The following inspired by a suggestion from our own Elston

Is it stuffing or dressing ?
Can be either

Do you make it the same as your mother did or use your own recipe ?
It is about the same as what my dad use to make.

Do you add any of the following:
Dry Bread ? Hard to make without this.
Crackers ?
Corn Bread ? You won't find me using corn bread
Mashed Potato ?
Mushrooms?
Oysters? Yum
Chestnuts?
Other ?

Speaking of stuffing...I love turkey and stuffing sandwiches. Take a couple slices of bread. A little butter. Add the turkey and stuffing. A dash of salt. Good to go.

Bonus Question:

Oops !Has anyone ever left the "little bag 0' stuff" inside by mistake and cooked the turkey that way?
Can't say that I have.

Speaking of the little "bag 0' stuff" inside:
Do you use the turkey gizzard, liver, heart, neck that you find inside the "little bag 0' stuff" ?
Boil them til done. take the meat and add to the stuffing

If so how ?

Thanks Elston !!!

Just for Fun:

What is your favorite:
Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine ? Pepsi
Pop Tart Flavor ? I will pass
Cereal topper ? Bananas
Toast topper ? Butter or jam

Today's Question(s):

What was your best "and the crowd went wild" (or they would of if they had seen it) moment?

I can't think of anything. Nothing that I do would ever make anyone go wild.

Extra Credit Question:
The following inspired by a suggestion from our own Elston

Is it stuffing or dressing?
Well, even though we don't actually put it inside the bird, we still call it stuffing.

Do you make it the same as your mother did or use your own recipe? I mostly use Mom's recipe, although some years I've tried different ideas.

Do you add any of the following:
Dry Bread?
Definitely this. I bought, cubed and slow-toasted two loaves of premium rosemary-olive oil bread a couple of weeks ago, and they're ready for their destiny next week.
Crackers? I've never tried this; it's an interesting idea. What kind of crackers would you use, I wonder? Rye crackers could be very good, I'd imagine.
Corn Bread? We have done this a few times, and I like it, but any time I fail to provide Grandma's version of stuffing, I catch you-know-what from my kids. My spouse and I make this sometimes for non-holiday meals.
Mashed Potato? I've never heard of this one, and have to say it doesn't sound terribly appetizing.
Mushrooms? We've done this, too, a few times, and I like mushrooms in stuffing as well. We won't be using them this year as two of our guests don't care for them.
Oysters? We've tried this, and it's also very good, but way too "out there" for our guests this year.
Chestnuts? Never tried this one before. I'd like to try someone else's version rather than trying chestnuts in an entire batch of stuffing, to see if we'd like it.
Other? We've included spicy pork sausage a number of times, and have also included cut-up tart apples. We always include onion and celery, of course, lots of garlic, home-made stock and a stick or so of butter.

Bonus Question:

Oops !Has anyone ever left the "little bag 0' stuff" inside by mistake and cooked the turkey that way?
Nope, can't say that I ever have.

Speaking of the little "bag 0' stuff" inside:
Do you use the turkey gizzard, liver, heart, neck that you find inside the "little bag 0' stuff"?
Yes, we do.

If so how? Well, as noted above, we cook our stuffing outside the bird, both to prevent a dried-out turkey and for the sake of food safety. I cut the wings off the bird and lay them and all the giblets over the top of the casserole dish of stuffing, and that way I get a lovely roasted-turkey flavor all through the stuffing even though it wasn't inside the bird.

Once the stuffing is out of the oven, the wings go into the soup pot that we start after dinner, and I chop up the giblets so my spoiled-rotten cat can have a home-made Thanksgiving dinner of his own. We don't put giblets in the gravy because my spouse doesn't care for chunky gravy, so the cat gets the gizzard, liver and heart. And he's very happy with them.

Thanks Elston!!!

Yes, thanks for the great idea, Elston!

Just for Fun:

What is your favorite:
Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine?
On the rare occasions that I indulge in such a thing, I drink diet Pepsi.
Pop Tart Flavor? Ick, ack, yuck, gag.... I wouldn't eat one of those things if you held a gun to my head.
Cereal topper? I very rarely eat this, and when I do, it's usually a hot cereal like oatmeal. My favorite things to put on oatmeal are honey or brown sugar.
Toast topper? I love-love-love me some cherry jam on a slice of whole wheat toast.
