Hey, finally I knew something  I've been using the foil for years but I wrap it first in (dry) paper towels then the foil...........keeps for weeks.

I usually keep my herbs in the frig in a glass of water (about 1-2") with a plastic bag over the top. Keeps green for weeks
Your wife is right with the water trick. Just cut a piece off before placing in ice water.

Yes, satx.....You can take a rubbery stalk or head of celery, place it in water for 15 minutes or so, and unless it's actually rotting, the capillary action will rehydrate and crisp up your celery like new! Works great for asparagus as well.
