Lottery tickets! Do you buy em’ and do you win? I’ve got some “special” numbers but they never come up with anything. However we (wife & I) keep buying the tickets. They say you’re more likely to get hit by lightning ~ well I’ll stand in the rain if it would help me win just one good PowerBall.
![]() It’s a voluntary tax and the money goes to the state for something ~ anyone really know what the state does with your money? ![]() |

I bought $10 worth of South Carolina powerball tickets on my trip last week- haven't checked them yet! If I win, I'll let ya know.

One time I had a taxi cab driver in Las Vegas tell me, he couldn't wait to finish his shift so he could drive to Arizona and play Power Ball! Nevada doesn't have Power Ball but you'd think there's enough gaming in Vegas to keep him busy. I guess I take Power Ball for granted as I rarely play.

I can hardly remember to buy tickets. When I do I always feel a little guilty. It does go to a good cause, but I'm so disappointed when I don't win.

In 23 years of living in Green Valley, AZ we only heard about one winner in a nearby city. There was a story in the paper that said that the win was by a couple and they split up after the win.

Ok I wanted to play but the form appears confusing to me I dont understand multiplay and why there is so many boxes? Is it so I pay for technically more than one ticket with one form?
Has anyone else been thinking there a way to get better odds? The powerball lottery has been around for a good while shouldnt there be a common chance of certain numbers showing up as the winning number combination? If that is the case is there a site with just the winning numbers so I can put it in a database and figure what are the most popular numbers in winning? Those who do play do you do auto pick or do you write down your numbers you want? |

There are all kinds of theories about how bad the odds are, like being struck by lightening. One way to look at the odds is: When the power ball jackpot gets real big, like $100,000 or so, all kinds of people start buying tickets. It can still go for weeks without a win! Can you imagine how many millions of tickets are sold? The power ball in AZ is shared by almost 30 other states! If I bought a million tickets, I bet I would still lose!

We have Tri-State megabucks along with New Hampshire and Vermont. Proceeds go to the State's General Fund which supports over 250 State agencies. My lucky numbers are 9-7-3-1 and 11. Please if you use these numbers split the winnings with me.
