Happy Jan. 2- we are into the new year for sure right now. Just for fun I do have a teddy bear and I am always looking a better one rrrrrrrr. I am not that into football,so I can't give u the particulars, but I think I did watch a little. The rest of the questions are a little too much before coffee for me... I slept late and feel rather sluggish. "God bless u one and all"

[quote=MidwesternBookWorm;17220847]Good very early morning, all, and happy Sunday! It?s a bitterly cold morning in South-Central Wisconsin, with a wind chill factor in the negative teens, and I am mighty glad to be in my fuzzy robe and slippers, sitting in my cozy living room with a purring cat curled up in my lap and a cup of hot chocolate beside me. It feels good to have the holiday hustle and bustle over at last, with all the decorations packed away for another year and things back to the usual routine. And speaking of the usual routine, let?s spend some time chatting about:

Today?s Question(s):

Extra Credit Question:

Without Googling it, do you know what the initials OPEC stand for? (Just yes or no, please!) Yes

For Your Health Question:

How long has it been since you last caught a cold? About 2 weeks ago..still have alittle cough but my laryngitis is gone.

Do you have any favorite cold remedies that you always turn to when you start getting that scratchy-throat feeling? Hot green tea, and honey - lemon cough drops.

Just For Fun:

Do you have a teddy bear?
No

For Your Health Question:

How long has it been since you last caught a cold? A few years. We take Epicor every day and it keeps us from getting sick

Do you have any favorite cold remedies that you always turn to when you start getting that scratchy-throat feeling? Zircom was a favorite as were hot toddies. Mrs Tek makes a mean hot toddy. We also take a lot of sugar (or honey) and mix whiskey and lemon juice with it so it's really thick and sip it. It coats the throat and relieves the soreness. The whiskey mellows out all the sugar. Throat Coat tea works well also.

Just For Fun:

Do you have a teddy bear?
Mrs. Tek has a few.

I missed the QOTD when it was first put up - wasn't looking for it so early! Oh well, better late than never.

Today’s Question(s):

Did you watch any of the big college bowl games on New Year’s Day?
Nope - they don't show them here (least, not on any channels I have access to)
If so, did the team you were rooting for win?

Extra Credit Question:

Without Googling it, do you know what the initials OPEC stand for? (Just yes or no, please!)
Yes

For Your Health Question:

How long has it been since you last caught a cold?
July - I caught one (probably from the airplane) just two days into my trip to Chicago!

Do you have any favorite cold remedies that you always turn to when you start getting that scratchy-throat feeling?
Yes - copious quantities of garlic (real or pills). Gotta take it when you first feel the symptoms - leave it too long and it doesn't work. Stinky, but better than a full-blown cold. Betadine gargle is also great at the first sign of a sore throat.

Just For Fun:

Do you have a teddy bear?
Yes - several. Only one is on display though - a 3 foot tall golden bear. He sits in the corner of my bedroom who I bought 44 years ago on a holiday in Jersey, Channel Islands (off the coast of UK/France).

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
