National Irish Coffee Day Yum.

Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day

Sorry folks but I just have to share this. So I'm looking at more details about the guide dog school and I came across this on the website:

Quote:
Photographs
At no cost to you, Guiding Eyes provides:
A group photo of your class
An individual photo of you and your dog, with 8 wallet sized prints. Additional prints may be purchased through the School for fifteen ($15) dollars per 8 x 10, ten ($10) dollars per 5 x 7 of your class, or a minimum of 8 wallet sized prints for ten ($10) dollars.
A videotape of the graduation ceremony (sent within a few months after you return home). Videotape copies are available at $10 each.
the website

Is it just me or is there something seriously ironic about this? They provide a bunch of photos to a class of blind people free of charge? Save your money, people! Let sighted relatives pay if they care enough!

Not everyone is completely blind. Guide dogs can be like a member of the family, so some people want these photos to remember and to share with sighted family members.

Also I know people who raise pups for these places. Volunteers who care for and do preliminary training for the dog's first year of life get photos as a remembrance of the guide dog they helped train.
