I dunno,,, that so many are stating that women are more emotionally strong...

Not to necessarily disagree, but,,, myself, and most men/guys I know, we are stabler, and seem more even keel about stuff [at least on the outside ], whereas tho' many females seem to be very emotional about issues, like a roller coaster!

But, as mentioned in a previous post above, maybe since most guys hold stuff in more, until they finally just snap [hence more men going postal than women?] whereas most women let themselves sway in the breeze, bending but not cracking... yet, which is then therefore "stronger"? The oak or the willow?

steve, very good point! (im glad im not first guy to bring up pms, this time)

men are usually physically stronger,,,tho ive seen a few good maine woman drag thier own deer out of the woods, and was quite impressed.

emotionally, im not so sure,,because woman seem to be drama magnets,,,where men dont even want to be involved,,,(much is gossip, about, friends/family, co-workers, etc,)
men are much more logical,,than emotional. (thats why we never win a fight) the woman immediately, flies off the handle,,and the guy is still trying to logically put his second sentence together., and he could be totally right,,,,but it doesnt matter, once she's upset,,,thier is no "right or wrong"

there is one area where woman do have an edge,,not sure if its stronger, but i guess it could be,,,they have the gift of gab,,,they can talk ,,,find the words better in a tough situation,,,,say at a funeral,,,,or in a wedding reception "line"
or tough family issues,,where a guy would hit, or face something head on, a woman can be subtle about it,, but can get the same message across,(somehow, this "gift" turns off when talking to hubby)

when talking of "men" and woman" keep in mind,,men have a weakness,,
i read where the average man thinks of sex, over 40 times an hour,,we look, gawk, and drool over eye-candy,,,,our minds go blank in front of a gorgeous woman,,and just stare,,, its a wonder we function at all..
so, its an uneven playing field,,the woman has a definite advantage in life,,

j/k

ps: yes, those that do such, big admiration from me too...
and even if "just" a stay-at-home lady, likewise

It’s true ,,,, the gals that I’ve worked with always seemed to have several major items going at one time with both their job and their family or home life. I’ve always been impressed with my fellow worker gals and my wife. She is a workaholic both at the office and at home. She can get more done in one day then most men in 3 or 4 days. She knows how to multitask most guys do one thing at a time.

I’m not saying that there aren’t hardworking men out there, that would go without saying but honestly women don’t get the credit they deserve for all that they do. And it may sound like a “slobbering pandering mess of manure” as you said, however it’s honest and it’s one opinion. And she’s not looking over my shoulder while I type this post.

LOL, I'm sure every women has thought more then once they wish just for one day men would get pms and see how they take it. There would probably be a national emergency, all men would be able to take off from work and chocolate would be free!

Sorry guys but women (in general) are stronger. I know many women that work a job, go to school, keep the house clean, remember important events, raise the kids etc... I only know one guy that does all that.

I really think it depends on the person. There are some issues that make my husband fall apart while I can be strong, but there are other things that make me weak, and my husband is the strong one. I am definitely better with things like multi-tasking and handling crisis, but my husband tends to be better with resisting temptations and staying disciplined.

I think men are more emotionally "stable", definitely, that goes without saying. I agree, most men can actually handle their emotions and keep them in check much better than women (we're all over the place emotionally), however, I think women are much better at multi-tasking their emotions (between kids, husbands, jobs, bosses, friends, family, in-laws and gossip of course) we can still manage to cry, laugh, hate and love while cleaning, cooking and putting on mascara.
