Happy Sunday friends! While we all await the return of our dear Pammy and her bag of tricks - - I'll take advantage of the moment to give you a little magic to remember. You can be like a superhero some day.
Whenever your microwave oven, or anyone's microwave oven quits working -it happens often enough - it runs but doesn't heat the food at all - here's what you do:
Inside of the microwave, where you put your food, you will see on one of the walls, a panel. That is the "waveguide".
That waveguide is very easy to remove. It is held in place either by one little screw, or, as with my microwave, no screw at all - it just slides out.
Remove that waveguide and clean it as nice as you can, both sides. Then, when it is dry, replace it back to where it came from. If you cannot remember where you got it from, go see your doctor and tell him. Then, when you return home, open up the microwave oven and replace the waveguide.
Wow, cool beans no more....the microwave is working like new again and you just saved a whole lotta money.
It works every time. So remember this little tip and when you fix that microwave that's on it's way to the dumpster you will be like a real live superhero!
Now let's all wait for Pam to get back here and remember not to tell on me for doing this. I'll send you all reps in return! ~rainroosty~

This is a very good tip....one should always look at that and keep it clean as they go. I have seen food, grease, splatters on those that actually get burnt into that guide and thus cause more problems needing you to replace that piece.
Didn't even realize there was a place in there that should be cleaned off, other than the normal wiping down (now and then). Since yesterday had to do with "just don't do it" to help reduce stress, think I'll blow off cleaning my microwave too
