Now that I am retired, I just get up and do something. Unless I have a morning baseball game, I'll just sleep late.

But when I worked, many was the time I would get 30 minutes of sleep and have to get up and go to work. Tough on the system.

I'm retired too so I get up sometimes and read posts on CD. Last night I drifted in my sleep for 12 hours. That has not happened in a long time.

Great news, looks like our thread is good for something,
it bores Nomad enough to oversleep!

Sorry to hear about your dear dog, Todd. :{ How sad. As others have said, you are a good pet owner and your animals are lucky to have you. :} I do understand about your depression, too well.

I am very low right now folks. I have a confusing situation here at CD that I can't talk about. But it makes me second guess myself, which has triggered my depression big time. It's hurting and I am tired of this hurt.

I am trying so hard to see that my feelings are exaggerated and NOT an indication of my "badness", To recognize it is good but I just want to get better, find work and not have this situation!!!!!! I just want to right the ship but I am sinking instead. :{

Phooey!

Nothing is ever as good or as bad as it seems.

When I was at my lowest (Arthritis pain was so bad I could barely walk,
I had Gastritis, Gastrointeritis and Anemia), while caring for my father
who was dying of Bone Cancer, and working 40 hrs a week. I still went
to the park and coached baseball.

While I was there, all my troubles would disappear, and the kids took
my pain and distractions away. For the time I was there, I was happy.
When you help others, your pain dwindles. Try to find a way to help
those less fortunate, and your troubles will subside, even for just a
little while.

Good luck!

I've been a volunteer 4H leader in the past and would like to be again now that I am retired. I hope to live in a county that would offer the kids photography if they had a leader. Otherwise maybe back to gardening or even fat stock for the fairs.
