I simply LOVE that commercial! I can picture that guy, in an altered state, feeling that he has the world by the tail and getting the tiger stripe tatoos. The he sobers up and discovers what he has done and loses the confidence. But when he was getting them, he felt invincible... and wanted to show the world his invincibility.
Whenever I need a dose of courage, I tell myself "You tiger now" and I get a shot of power.
How do you all see that commercial? And do you see it as anti-Asian? Because I was saying it to my daughter last night and I got a dirty look from an Anglo dad with an Asian baby.
That is the worst commercial ever ! I don't understand what Comcast was thinking . Lets take an out of shape dork loser and put Tiger Stripes on him and the pretend that his life is better because his phone service changed ? You can get Comcast and you too can be a loser ! Great concept, I wish that I had gone into advertising and I could get paid for my Ridicules ideas. YOU TIGER NOW means YOU DORK LOSER NOW ! And it is not anti Asian The Asian guy is the SMART one in the commercial.
I haven't seen it lately- they must have pulled it. I don't think it's a good ad for Comcast, it just cracks me up- the concept of artificially induced bravery. The lack of doubt that he had when he got those tatoos. My kids and I crack up.
I put on a dress to go to a function and was wondering to my kids if it was a little too racy. I am always getting ragged on by them for my conservative dress. My daughter said, "It looks great on you. You can wear it, you tiger now!" And I did... and I was a tiger!
Okay, it's a stupid ad..... it just hits my funny bone.
