Default Today's Peeve Of The Day, Saturday 9th April.

Good morning posters from an extremely sunny England.

It's been wall to wall sunshine here of late and is set to continue- it doesn't rain here all the time!

This peeve is an ongoing one and it affects everyone in one way or another;

Gas prices.

What I'd like to add is that prices go up as soon as the cost of oil rises, but seems slow to come down when the reverse happens.

Maybe you could tell us the cost of a gallon of gas where you are as well?

Good universal peeve.
Right now it's $3.79 gal for regular unleaded 89 octane. Soon to hit $4.00+ gallon according to the evening news today.

Last I looked in the state I am in regular unleaded was $3.52 per gallon

A revolt is closer than you think!

Think Green just doesn't seem to apply here I don't think!

As dealing with my people takes more time, I have people, 3 bankers, a mortgage dude and 2 real estate dudes, I will have less time for CD. I was going to save this for next Monday but I'm flying to Tenn to look at houses, next Mon. My peeve, every year, is people who have 2 1/2 mos to file their income tax who need the post office to stay open 7 more hours, on overtime, so they can get their return post marked on the last day. Note to postmaster, charge those people $500 a post mark, after 5pm, to help with your losses this year.

US gas prices seem like a bargain to me - we're currently paying about USD5.70 a gallon!

I'll no doubt get some flack for this but the way I look at it. If your car gets 25 mpg and you drive the average 15000 per year you use 600 gal of fuel. The difference between $2 and $4 a gal gas is $100 a month. I spend 5 1/2 times that, in real estate taxes, every month supporting crooked Illinois politicians. Driving is more fun. Maybe we should keep gas prices and get rid of career politicians.

Here for regular it's anywhere from 3.69 to 3.84.. BP is of course the highest, I wonder why? <-- Kidding of course

For Mid-Grade it's 3.81 to 3.99.. Ditto with BP..

High Grade it's 3.89 to 4.10.. Again for BP being the highest.

Gotta make their money back somehow I guess..
