Today's Question Thursday 5-5-11
Good morning everyone
Happy Thursday
Happy Cinco de Mayo !!
Yesterday I asked:
With regards to the 4-H,do you know what the 4 "H's" stand for ?
In 1908 the clover emblem was designed, at first it was a three-leaf clover and the H's stood for Heart,Hands & Head. In 1911 it was suggested there should be a fourth H and it should be Hustle later they changed "hustle" for Health
4-He'rs pledge the following to make their communities and world a better place
"I pledge my Head to clearer thinking, my Heart to greater loyalty, my Hands to larger service(volunteering) and my Health to better living.
Pretty cool
Today's Question:
When was the last time you used or wanted to use the phrase
"I don't want to or won't be having this conversation again" ?
Bonus Question:
Only _____ more days until _________ ?
Extra Credit Question:
What was the last "tocsin" you gave or received ?
Just for Fun:
Do you know anyone who should take part in today's "Great American Grump Out Day"
Today in History:
1809 - Mary Kies is 1st woman issued a U.S. patent (weaving straw)
1847 - American Medical Association organized (Philadelphia)
1891 - Music Hall (Carnegie Hall) opens in New York, Tchaikovsky as guest conductor
1900 - "The Billboard", a magazine for the music and entertainment industries, began weekly publication. The name was later shortened to "Billboard".
1923 - Firestone Tire and Rubber Company of Akron, OH began the first regular production of balloon tires.
1961 - Alan Shepard becomes 1st American in space (aboard Freedom 7)

Today's Question:
When was the last time you used or wanted to use the phrase
"I don't want to or won't be having this conversation again" ?
Last week - having yet another 'conversation' with the guy next door about his barking dog. It barks constantly when he's not there, but not at all when he is there. Therefore, guy next door doesn't believe me when I say the dog barks all day. Grrrrr.

Well, the weekend's here for me (as in it's almost Friday) - not long now for you guys too! Have a good one.
