It's not only the animations...EVERYTHING runs slow on google now. It even takes forever to type out what you're searching for.

Why do they always have to fix what isn't broken is what I wonder. What was wrong with the old google in the first place. You know, the old google where it just said "Google" on the front without all the techno-ie animations, images, showing your search as you type it.

Another example of a business that's gotten too big for it's britches. *sigh and BIG eye roll*

I like them too, and I also quite enjoy the "guess what I'm typing" thing they have now. I love it

I'm sorry you have a slow PC.....maybe you should block images from google...or block images completely. Hell, lets all go back to a DOS prompt and ASCII text, it'll run quick as a whip on your antiques

So unfortunate how technology in general is taken for granted

google is good but I don't like some of the other websites that "force" you to read or see some of their ads that are on the page.

Never thought of it slowing down applications for other people.....as for me....
I enjoy them and think they are quite creative.

Then again, I'm a Googler-a-Holic!

Some are clever and entertaining, others are attractive and a nuisance thus making them an attractive nuisance if used for advertising products that I would never want to buy or have around. There is one ad that continues to obstruct my view of the webpage and even “moves” down the page as I try to continue to read or view the content of interest. There’s simply no way to stop it!

The thing I like about google is gmail which allows use of Thunderbird. That gives me email where I can insert any pics or graphics so that recipients can enjoy without opening an attachment.
