Since I use the computer daily, I usually don't mind when DH ask me to look up something.

A lot of that happening on CD. LOL It is annoying. If the person has a computer to ask the question ~~ they can use the computer to look it up!!

I see it all the time on CD, especially in the computer forum. I am always amazed that someone will take the time to ask a question here, but won't type in the same question in Google. Lack of common sense?

^^ Not only in the computer forum, but all over CD Land you can find questions being asked that the asker could find the answers for by doing a little research.

On the other hand, one of my neighbors has 3 computer literate family members in his home, but guess who he asks for help?

But then, wouldn't you avoid all of the drama, if you simply searched for the answers yourself? Some people are more interested in the drama that their questions create, than they are the actual answer or solution. LOL

You really are a sweetie....That's different thought Oh, I don't mean it's different to help you DH, it's when other people are asking that it drives me nuts....

I think people are hooked on Google just like they are hooked on Heinz ketchup.
I use Hunt's ketchup and Bing search engine. Bing is far superior when searching for music/videos and pictures.
I help people that I know because I have better search skills than them for some things.
Others, like my father, I help because they don't have a computer.
(And anyway, Jezer...you think that's a peeve? What about this(?): Looking in the refrigerator and seeing that there's only ONE beer left"! )......

Interesting comments as usual posters, and welcome to the one or two posters that we don't generally see.
